I also think that not one coin will not be able to bypass bitcoin, including Ethereum, I think that the price of Ethereum can raise to 0.1 bitcoin

This market is going to be very upset and people will tend to sell more than they buy. I believe that Bitcoin will always be the king of Cryptocurrency as this is the trusted and most trusted coin. There are altcoins that grow at a much faster rate than Ethereum and these are trustworthy too. Even Bitcoin cash has survived so far with all the rumors. No doubt Ethereum was and will remain the king of altcoins but the king of crypto currencies can never be any coin other than Bitcoin.

I cannot believe people are still debating whether Ethereum will beat Bitcoin, things are not doing well for Ethereum now my friends, and with the way it looks comparing to bitcoin is not even worth a thought, what we can do instead is to find out what’s causing the drop and determine if this coin can still come back, then let’s continue with your debate.

Excellently mate, why dont we have to contemplate the situation and acknowledge both asset as a relevant and valuable coins that we benefited on investing. In fact, both asset has their own spatial flatform and variation on contributing in the world of crypto. Thereupon, the price dimension of each asset are contrasting. Etherium has a good viable flatform while bicoin is constanly dominant of all coins. And I bet even in the five years etherium cannot surpass on bitcoin, but still both asset can work together in a wise way.

No. bitcoin will not be replaced. because of the role and usefulness that many people still believe. even though eth, which will be a bitcoin counterpart, is still irreplaceable

WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?
No. Bitcoin will remain the rank #1. Ethereum is starting to drop now but let's expect that ethereum will recover soon, maybe next few months. Bitcoin is the highest market cap compare to ethereum,  Ethereum will not pass Bitcoin.

looking at what is said to be vitalic, it looks like the ETH price will not have a sharp increase of up to 1000 times, whether it's true or false.
but if you think logically it might be true that the fate of the crypto world will begin to bleak

The price of the ethereum goes down below $200 and still going down so it is impossible for the second ranked cryptocurrency to surpass bitcoin within two years. To overtake bitcoin, a coin must achieve what bitcoin achieved for the past several years like its present market capitalization. Ethereum might be capable to outrank bitcoin but with its present price, it will not be achievable.

At current scenario it does not seems like ETH will pass BTC in 2019. In future nobody knows what will happens, but i will add that ETH has much more potential what it is at present.

I think this is difficult to materialize.
Bitcoin is the king of all coins.
I think Bitcoin will be the main coin and number one.
Ethereum will remain under Bitcoin.
I see Ethereum's ability and the technology that Ethereum has is still low and under Bitcoin.
We know that Bitcoin is the oldest coin so Bitcoin has a position to dominate the Cryptocurrency market.

If ETH can limit the number of existing and minimize ETH based ICO like Bitcoin, then I believe ETH is likely to outperform Bitcoin. ETH based ICO is good, but the bad thing here is ETH allocation and price drop makes people panic and sell off.

Research conducted by Wall Street strategy company Fundstrat Global Advisors argues that the ratio between bitcoin and the break-even costs of miners has proven to be long-term that can be relied on for a reliable cryptocurrency and infrastructure development supports the appreciation of bitcoin prices by the end of 2019. Even the lower end of the range represents 113 percent increase from current bitcoin prices while more optimistic targets represent 583 percent

Yes, this can happen, in this case, Bitcoin will lose its great influence on all altcoins. But still, Bitcoin will also grow in price and it is difficult to overtake it.

I would love if this happened in 2019 because the biggest portion of my portfolio consists of Ethereum, but I don't think it will happen so soon..My earliest guess for this to happen is in 2020.

WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?
To pass the BTC price, of course it takes longer for ETH Guys, so I predict that in 2019 BTC will continue to excel than ETH and ETH is in second place after BTC.

I agree in part. But domination will be less and less. Plus the ETH team works and soon there will be innovations. And the project Tezos in general will soon be steep. All the heat is in the air.

I think the Ethereum will fall on the contrary, not overtake bitcoin. Ethereum has a lot of holes in the code and interface. If in 2019 they did not solve their problems, the Ethereum will remain like litecoin, not able to grow on their own, without the growth of bitcoin.

WIll ETH pass BTC in 2019 ?
I really doubt that since it will have to cross the 6k mark which is really going to take time for now and by then BTC will increase in price too

vitalik just shut up and let the price of eth disintegrate, this is the lowest price since 2015. this is not a competition issue between BTC prices and supply at coinmarketcap. I think there is no correlation, eth dropped because some ETH holders sold their coins simultaneously and caused panic.

bro, ethereum is unlimited supply while btc limilted to only 21mil
ethereum inflation will increasing forever when btc will stop producing, and so it means, theres no way to get more btc unless you buy it, the minimum amount of coins are less than buyer, so btc price would go up, whale will accumulating it and pump the price
