I would not leave my day-job for crypto. I tread my crypto adventure as an educational and investment hobby where if I (and crypto) are fortunate will land me with some potential for early retirement. I basically use my free time to learn as much as I can so I can make good investment decisions. I see going all in (house, job) as a major gamble. This space is volatile and the best way to manage that in my opinion is keeping a level head, being objective, and not giving into impulses. I’m hopeful for the future of crypto but I would not bet my job security or house on my investment decisions. I should point out that my professional skills do not map well into actually working for a crypto startup. If they did I would approach that decision the same as any career change (risk to benefit).
