It depends on the project. I decide whether to hodl coins or sell it after the end of ICO.

We are seeing a lot of projects not succeeding because of this current market trend. Project cant continue developing their product due to lack of investors pouring money in. Its really hard to start a project in this market condition but we can wait and see what happen when the bulls come.

which turns a project into a failure or loss, maybe the current market situation, the decline in the selling price of coins may be the main factor

Cryptocurrencies competition is very tight, this is because of the large number of devs. who continue to make new projects, with intense competition and non-increasing investors certainly complicates the devs. to raise money so that the project dies.

I think we should have more time for the projects to deploy as Bitcoin needs to increase. By the time the project was up coimarketcap but Bitcoin prices down their development process was interrupted. And we should trust and keep them as Bitcoin increases because it's not really a scam.

Indeed, now every project competes with their respective backgrounds. Of course it is not possible to carelessly carry out an ICO project. If it is not a candidate, it will certainly die with other projects. more potentially of course.

Currently on the coinmarketcap site only about 1590 projects compared to at times more than 1700 projects. They have left many projects without developers or scam projects. I personally invested in some of these projects and lost a lot of money like bitconect and centra. Do you trust the projects you are investing in and will keep them for a long time until they succeed or are they just looking for profit in the short term?
This is due to scam projects, they only want to make easy money, and after they collect a lot of money to the investors they abandoned it. And this is the reasons why too many investors now did not participate in any projects that related to crypto.

Many projects die and there is no courage to compete in the market, it is regrettable. This makes many investors think deeply about investing their funds in every project. Less experience and failure of the project so that many coins die. This is a sad crypto condition. Decreasing crypto altcoins can register for coins that still survive.

Am sorry but all projects are currently running dead and this is due to the bad state of the market, it is really hard for any project nor it's management to foresee what it's outcome will be but as bad as it may currently be, there are still some good projects out there.

Actually the dead project is a useless project that will die when the market is unhealthy, they have planned it from the start.

I believe in Coins like Ethereum, EOS, Litecoin and XRP. Because in my opinion they are very good and very potential coins for me to invest my money. I think you are just unlucky to get fraudulent coins. You better be more careful and make the right decision before investing.

In fact, in the market, there is no death in the project. There is only success and fraud here, because when you invest in a certain, they may disappear!

i dont think so about that.we see many coins and token in coinmarketcap dah has no value and daily trading.it can caused by several reason such as left by developer team or maybe violated sec rules.

Recently there was a project called able has been accused by so many bounty participants caused by they are erasing all of the social channels. They are only thinking about easy money and the best example is how centra's CEO has used the money that raised from the centra ico to buy Bentley. It has been destroying the credibility of crypto.

To be honest, the current number of 1833 cryptocurrencies seems excessive considering how small the market is still, and where most of that capital, more than 80%, is invested in the top ten.

But perhaps one of the few benefits that the current crypto market crisis will bring is that it will undoubtedly lead many of these failed projects to disappear, and all those who had thought to enter the market with unviable projects will think twice before do it, which will mean that only those who can offer serious and innovative cryptocurrencies will be able to succeed in this competitive market.

Naturally, I trust the majority of altcoins in my portfolio, otherwise why buy them? However, the trust is very different! In some cases I believe globally - for example, ADA or EOS and I will keep them for a long time - in others I believe like in good sprinters at short distances - for example, qkc and I will keep them until the first serious pump. There are also some risky coins with a small capitalization, which I keep for good luck!

Many projects become dead because of the fact that its not being successful and many investors puul out their investments and there is also scammers roaming around to add for the complicated of things in the projects.

Of course it is expected that most projects will fold up, may not necessarily be due to scam just that a lot may not withstand the competition, coupled with the bear market, it is hard to survive, Most real companies fold up during recession and such is expected in crypto, the developers may abandon it due to lack of fund or market challenges
