How can we protect ourselves from scam?

It is so hard to protect ourselves from scam especially in this time that there are so many projects existing in the market. I think what we can do is to look for projects that are backed up by senior forum members although this isn't a sure way.

Lately I have seen several fraud ICOs that are making a fraud project just to make money instantly. This is very sad because we know how negative other people thought about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. We don’t want to put more stain in people’s mind but now it happened. Scammers are very rampant not just in the cryptocurrency world but also everywhere. In the crypto world, in order to protect ourselves and our money from investing in scam icos, it is best that we know the ico very well. Do a lot of research about the project and its members.

I think it's really easy to stay away from being scammed. At first, you guys just need to stay away from ponzi system ). Stay away from investing in too good ICO project with so many promises about ROI when investing in. Stay away from trading without using escrow. Stay away from joining airdrop which require your ETH wallet private key. It's really easy, right?

For me, we can protect ourselves from scammers is from being aware and trust your instinct if you sense that there is something wrong then stop it, yes I think this is the best best way to avoid scam. Before you invest you must research the campaign and the people behind it so you are sure if they are trustworthy people, and invest an amount of money that you can not hesitate to lose.

Yes i agree with that. There are so many scam or fake ICO in this day and there is no guarantee to avoid that. Nowadays there so many projects that offered, so we must carefull before we join or invest in the project. For me if i want to join the ICO, i always see the website, the whitepaper, roadmap and the prospect of the ICO. And that i see the review or comments from another people about the ICO, if the project convince, i join it.

I think it's really difficult to stay away from all scam things in this crypto world but we still can reduce chance to be scammed by avoid investing in ponzi scheme. Don't believe in any project which don't have a good roadmap, dev team, idea but promoted really good with interesting promises about how much money investors can get back when invested in . For me it is to hard to protect and get rid of those scams in this business. Just make sure and be care full that if you are investing, trading or whatever projects you want to join you have enough knowledge before doing that. Do not just place your info's with different airdrops, it is too risky also. Think before you click.

To protect ourselves from scam you should check the sites before you give your personal information, because it can be a phising site that will get your info. To avoid scammers much better you wont invest in anything in the site. Think before you invest.

It's very hard to get out of scams. People who have proper knowledge and who do regular research, may understand scams. However, I saw someone invented an application software to eradicate scams from crypto society. You can search it on google. I hope it works.

I am so happy to see your comment, but I deny that there is such a software. I searched on Google and it took me a long time. A good investor can't trust a certain kind of software and saying. What is needed is personal understanding of the market and understanding of the currency. It needs understanding of the development team and understanding of the direction of the project, so as to reduce the scam. The probability, but not 100% safe. Don't blindly invest is important!

To be honest it is very hard sometimes to detect scam project before it takes investors money. I have a such experience. It was one project called Benefit. I took part in private sale of it. They took about 1k Eth and escaped the office))). But pritlvate pool found the money with White hats hackers.
