There are a lot of cryptocurrency which have a potential, but i dont think anyone of them can overtake bitcoin. Bitcoin will always be the king of cryptocurrency.

I think personally there will be no new king, there is Bitcoin remains the king of all coins. with the developments that are present in Bitcoin that continue to show the development is able to produce such a high price and become a king of coins that are very capable to be relied upon.

In my humble opinion, there will be no king and no coin can overtake bitcoin because I do believe that bitcoin is such a excellent coins who has the capacity to recover so easily after so many failures. I think they are still the kings of all coin but for me theres an existing altcoin that will definitely become popular also aside from ethereum. I'm thinking and researching about eos that it could possibly the next hype and will have a mass adoption in the community because if eos main net already launched it has also a ability to create token like ethereum blockchain.

It's really very difficult for other coins to pass the bitcoin,
but if for ethereum indeed I think have a chance to get past bitcoin,
but if for now it is still difficult and certainly may take a long time
