You are wrong if you think that some coins can replace btc. Technology wise they may overtake btc but replacing btc as the king of crypto is far from reality. As you can see now btc dominance is still 52% in CMC and that is huge. Btc will still be the king of crypto because of its popularity.

As of now, I still can't see any cryptocurrency that could replace bitcoin someday, maybe it will take a lot of years before one of the existing coins will eventually succeed in overtaking the top coin. Bitcoin's present price and market capitalization are still difficult to reach and it need a lot of bullruns before matching it. The would-be new king must also match the popularity of bitcoin that its presently enjoying now.

Lot of people said that Ethereum will replace bitcoin in the future but i don't think that bitcoin will be replaced because BTC is the way people know about Crypto and still dominate until now.

There will be no new king, Bitcoin will always be king of crypto in terms of adoption and use cases.  The only thing I can see coming close is ETH, but even that is very far behind.

Talking about cryptocurrency to be the successor of bitcoin, it may be listed already in cryptomarket or it is still in the laboratory and is still under development because as far as bitcoin exists, i believe that no other crypto can took its place. ETH, and LTC can be a legit successor to bitcoin but that only happens if bitcoin is already dead. The only truth about it is that bitcoin ain't gonna be dead.

Well, its been years since a lot many ALTs tried/claimed/promised that they are going to replace Bitcoin (BCASH was the biggest claimer), however, none of them ever replaced Bitcoin.
To the mass public, people know the word Bitcoin first and then the word "Cryptocurrency". I am sure that BTC is never going to be replaced by any ALT ever. The King remains one.

the new King will not happen. bitcoin will still be the best and the top than others even included a new crypto. though many indeed that has innovation and even the new technology it will not be enough to shift the bitcoin or even the ethereum. need more proof than that to be able to convince investors.

very much I doubt, that bitcoin in general probably to replace with another coin. Of course, bitcoin is not as technologically advanced as other coins, but it has long been used as a means of accumulation. To be honest, I think the king here can only have one and only one, that is BTC, and no other coin or token can replace the position of BTC. So please don't try to find a "new king." What you need to do is find the coins that will make you profitable.

It is pretty much impossible to predict. I am sure the dethronement will happen in the future, simply because the cryptocurrencies are very new, and the innovations happen crazy fast. Also these improvements are needed, Bitcoin has proven, that it does not function very well as a payment asset.

It will never happen, I think. Bitcoin can’t be dethroned by any newer cryptocurrency, not this year or the years beyond. Even Ethereum has no such capabilities and/or potentials to replace Bitcoin. One of the reasons is, Bitcoin has the most developers at the protocol level as there were around 430 different developers contribute to Bitcoin, which is nearly 3 times the number of developers as the Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency had.
