Cyrpto market could still be alive, it only happens that their is a huge decrease in numbers of users and investors. That two things help market grow, it is really hard to strategies when there is no investors and yet, prices will shows huge decline which lead for red market.

I'm pretty confident that if there is a global economic crisis, the price of gold will increase significantly as money in stocks derisks to other asset classes.

I'm less sure that the price of crypto will increase. I think it will but there is less historic data to rely on.

Interesting point of view. I'm not sure about gold. Investments in the armory, oil, gas, and wood will increase I guess. There have been no wars and cataclysms for long, calm before the storm... Hopefully, this storm won't touch us. But I doubt if cryptocurrency will grow during the global crisis.

It depends then on how will people perceive cryptocurrency if it is the safe haven for their investments along with precious metals or it would just be one of the markets that people will leave because of the crisis. Traditional markets will suffer like stocks but we have yet to see the effects of it in cryptocurrency market. After all, it was created due to the financial crisis that happened 10 years ago so maybe it would be the safe haven then for all the investors in times of global crisis.

Gold as a liquid asset is not ideal. Gold is hard to buy - if you need a kilogram, this is a simple problem. If you need a ton - it's difficult. Gold should be stored in a special place - in a safe. Large volumes of gold are difficult to transport across the borders of states. Bitcoin does not have these problems.
