Can I get my sums right on this - how much of the 3% is the IPO, and how much in BTC was the IPO (200?). I'm trying to figure out what your average 1BTC investor will get in terms of Pandas in their wallet.

2% of the 3% is for the IPO , remainder is toward services, sites, dev and various others

Am I getting this right

3% Premine = 3,000,000,000 Panda
2% of 3% for IPO = 60,000,000 Panda = 200 BTC
1 BTC = 300,000 Panda?

Nice maths!

I thought you learned maths from your philosophy teacher. Grin Grin Grin

And if that is correct then a 1 million panda block reward is worth 3 BTC?
What's the percentage of 1 million panda reward in the first 50,000 block?

2% of total coins for IPO = 2 billion = 200BTC

But someone posted that it is not 2% of total coins, but 2% of the 3% premine that is allocated for IPO...

Serious questions like that are not to be posted here.
People are only interested on how much they will make out of this coins , not technical details.

So I went and checked out vertcoin only question i have is will the -v 1 be different than what it is in the vertcoin batch file?

cgminer.exe --scrypt -o yourminingpool -u username -p password -v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20,-20 --gpu-fan 59,50 --temp-overheat 85,85 --temp-cutoff 90,90 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --gpu-engine 1000,1000 --thread-concurrency 8193

thats setting for 280x's mine are getting around 325 a piece
I second that anyone from the dev team could answer?

if it's 2.5min per block it's 576 per 24 hrs
so 50,000 blocks would take about 86 days

hi guys,

a touch over 14 hours to go

a few things to mention so you dont have to scroll through 14 pages of thread

1. you cannot mine this with cgminer - it requires mining through sgminer or vertminer as we use the adaptive N
2. If you are still not sure about this coin - no one is putting a gun to your head, there are plenty of other coins to mine =)
3. The dev team are working hard to get everything finalized
4. if you are a pool owner , please jump on pandapools on freenode and message me with your pool details like this <Pool Name> <Pool URL> <fee %> - this will be updated in main thread by 7pm uk time
5. If you are an exchange, please jump on pandacoin on freenode and message me with your exchange information so that we have it - this will be updated in main thread by 7pm uk time
6. We will be ensuring a fair launch and providing all relevant mining and pool information to people so that you are not left saying 'how do i mine!'
7. please all idle in pandacoin on freenode to get a real flavour of real-time updates

thanks and panda hugs
