Why didn't you -- instead of creating a new coin -- just flock to the existing pandacoin?

because PPLNS sucks.  PROP pools is the only way to go.

just from my testing I get more coins from prop than from pplns.  I tested to r9 280x each running the exact same settings time but pointed to different pools.  the prop card mined almost 20% more over a 7 day time period.  could have been coincidence.

the reason I really hate pplns is on occasion cgminer locks of for me randomly around once per week.  if the program locks up and I don't mine for a few hours while at work or sleeping I have to rebuild my stock in the pplns system to get max pay again.

1.  this isnt about what panda is better - as far as we are concerned we have created a new coin and it happens to share a name
2. the 'old panda coin' has no interesting or exciting features
3. it has been idle for ages
4. this is an entirely new take on crypto and something very exciting and fresh

it is just interesting to see who will be right in the end.

i doubt this coin will ever make it to cryptsy. coinmarket, mayb.

fairness is a big factor.

its just a coin like any other coin. except with a huge premine.

comparison with doge is way off.

3 bil/500k = 6000 blocks * 2.5 = 15000 mins / 1440 = 10,41 days to get equal amount of mined coins vs premined coins.. aka premine 50% after 10 days.

N adaptive is very hard to mine so this coin is different to most but people may not like just how niggly this method is to make work.
