Looks like Eligius mining operation stopped recently and final payout was 366 BTC. Is the datacenter now officially empty?

How else do you think that the drunk scammer Ken Slaughter would hide the company's assets?

You guys really ought to learn how to let go.  Be still and let this thread fall away with your lost bitcoins.  It will bring you peace.  Oh, and next time, only gamble using money you can afford to lose.  Not every start up succeeds and hopefully you're a little wiser and won't make the same mistake again.  Ken hasn't scammed anyone, he just failed to make a success of the company.  Simples.

or....

keep stirring the pot and keep calling woodlaw or other law firms to keep the pressure on ken.

keep the fire burning under his ass - dont let him sleep well at night, dont let him scam anyone else, and put him in jail with all the other scum that prey on others (pedophiles and rapists)

ps: ken did not just fail at a company, he failed repeatedly, did not keep promises, halfassed everything, obscured the truth, owned his own mining equipment on the side (737GH of avalon gear, anyone remember that he had that from virtually day 1?). Financials were due months ago, but all we saw were delays and a mining farm that couldnt pass 50% of the promised capacity.

How long until we see something similar?

Also, last I heard from the MSD was that there was a hearing scheduled for September 9th. Anyone have any info on that?

EDIT: The MSD has told me it has been continued to November 18th, 2014.

I realize the pireat40 case and kenny are 2 different things, but how long does it take for these monies to be paid? Article says "not sure where Shavers will get the money from" what if there is no money? Defendant goes to jail and investors get no money?

Also, isnt MDS just an investigative body? They dont prosecute do they? Depending on their findings it is up to the investors from there isnt it?

Pretty sure kenny doesnt own FA worth taking and that it may be a long time before any sort of justice meted out. If the idiot is smart at all he will die of a stroke before any settlement is reached. Way to go Ken, you f*&king loser.

Startups failing is one thing, however Ken lied to his investors over and over again, and that is not cool.

I firmly believe Ken is a scammer. Once we found out that he had actually not done anything for several months whilst leading us on I realised that I had been played.

Oh yeah, I forgot about intellihash, what a joke.

At least I wasn't stupid enough to believe that crap, I hoped intellihash was just Ken being a bad communicator.

It sounds like you had high hopes for iNTELLiHASH.

Didn't you claim to have invested your life savings in AMC/VMC?  Or was that LabCoin?  I forget which.   Roll Eyes

I was being dramatic, I invested my savings into bitcoin and lost most of it with ActiveMining. I have a while to make it back.

Labcoin generated much profits, but those profits went into ActiveMining stock.

I had high hopes for the chance that Ken was trying to communicate something sane when he spoke of intellihash, we all know how bad a communicator he is.

By the time it dawned on me that he actually was trying to convince us that he has a software that incrementally increased hashing speed relative to the hashrate of the network it was too late, all was lost.

still dreaming about Ken coming through with the goods?

read this...

http://www.coindesk.com/us-government-shuts-embattled-mining-firm-butterfly-labs/

AMC/VMC  has a far worse record than butterfly labs and one of THE worst records in the industry.. IMHO its only a matter of time..

VMC likely only had a handful of customers though and even though they acted sketchy selling the HF boards at least most people seemed to get them even if it was late. Not sure how many were left from the original preorders. Even if they all complained, the FTC received thousands of complaints from different sources (their number, not mine).

The majority of the scam here is in AMC, which isn't really the FTC. You need to continue petitioning the SEC and Missouri SoS to get him sent away for securities fraud.

what's really crazy is the eAsic - a trusted name in the industry for some reason didn't come through after months of development. and then all the failures right after. i'm curious to find out eventually how he was able to fuck up this bad. AsicMiner was able to accomplish much more with much less $

There's a couple things there. First, that's running with the assumption that Ken actually paid eASIC $1M like he has told everyone he did.
Quote
Santa Clara, CA and Springfield, MO – September 4, 2013 – eASIC® Corporation, a leading provider of single mask ASIC devices and Virtual Mining Corporation (VMC) today announced that VMC will use eASIC Nextreme-3™ 28nm devices to create a series of scalable Bitcoin mining machines capable of generating up to 24.756 TH/s (tera hashes per second) of cryptographic hashes.
Yes eASIC might not have put out this joint press release without an agreement in place, but the wording is that they will use eASIC to create the devices. Ken might have told everyone he paid the full sum to eASIC for development, but the project might have been scrapped long before that money was spent and he was just lying about it.

Second, the 28nm Nextreme-3 just isn't competitive compared to a 28nm standard cell (or even the 40/55nm) ASICs produced by the competition. That's not eASIC's fault; it was just the wrong tool for the job at the wrong time.
