As far as I heard, the ICO Scam raised over $ 1 billion. Why did people invest in these ICO? Do you think this situation has changed now?
ICO fraudulent projects do not advertise that they are fraudulent. They are trying in every way to prove that they are good and promising projects and deserve to invest in them. And they do it quite skillfully. That is why they manage to collect huge amounts of money. Very often fraudulent ICO projects cannot be distinguished from real ones. In addition, we do not have enough opportunities to check the ICO team and their project. In this regard, fraud in the activities of the ICO is flourishing.

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

No one wants to invest in fraudulent ICOS campaigns. Because they don't know and are deceived and unknowingly go to buy coins of no value. This situation is happening a lot and copies. We also meet fraudulent ICOS projects that don't pay for Bounty hunters.

Many persons are new to the space and may find  it difficult to tell the difference between what is feasible and what is not, the 'free-for-all'mentality that was prevalent in last bull market is still the fuel that powers current scams.Back then, you do not need to be an expert to make money here, even with scam projects you could make money for a while. Also, there are no regulations to protect investor.

I do not think that someone purposefully wants to give their money to fraudsters. It’s just that many of us lack the knowledge and luck to avoid such deception. Therefore, I believe that the ICO market today really needs certain principles and methods of regulation in order to minimize risks for investors.
Maybe STO will replace ICO to protect investors from fraud projects, Right now I still see a lot of scam projects running and people should be careful with it.

Most people do not guess if the ICO is real or fake. Many new people involved in the investment are tricked 1-2 times. There are also many others who have been tricked more than that. Because they have no experience to evaluate whether it is an ICO scam. But for long-time participants, they are able to identify potential iCOs. So there are still many ICOs that attract a lot of investment capital

People just don't want to think and to do research. They just want to invest their money and earn fast profit. That's why they invest their money and losing it.
