You don't seen to use doge ltc source to do this, its called merged mining and covers many more coins too, but it can cause dumping. as when the other people get the coins than the ones they are actually interested, they just immediately dump it.

Is there a problem with miners immediately dumping their coins?

My thinking is dumping would be good for the people who only know how to buy coins on exchanges. Long term, I don't see miners immediately dumping newly mined coins having any effect on a coin.

What if you could mine upwards in a longer sequence of scrypt coins with higher mining difficulties at each stage DOPE -> THC -> PotCoin -> dogecoin -> litecoin all at once? Is that possible?

Soon after, the sequence would probably end up DOPE -> DOGE -> LTC because DopeCoins mining difficulty would increase past The Hemp Coin and PotCoin.

What do people think about this? Start using the dogecoin source code so people can mine dogecoin and dopecoin at the same time. I think dogecoin supporters would also support dopecoin. Right now people can mine LTC + DOGE at the same time. They would rather mine DOGE + DOPE.

It would be revolutionary if you could mine DOPE + DOGE + LTC.

Lots of good and great ideas have been flowing in, and I'm still in the process of shifting it all through.

I'll form 2-3 proposals (with options) and then submit them for the community for final comments.

The upcoming IRC meeting will probably play quite a big part in the process so please stay tuned for information on when the meeting will be held.

I've still been insanely busy setting up Altcoin.Center, which is why there's been this period of apparent silence. However, processing has been going on all the time and I'm pretty sure the results will be worth the wait.

As of now, I'm leaning towards the idea (by fartbags) of a combined DOPE + DOGE + LTC mining. Just need to investigate the technical side a bit further.

Anonymous chat is on top of the todo list.

Coin mixing / anonymization is the part that is still partially an open question. It's a must feature of course, but there are many good alternatives regarding how it could be implemented, and the comparison between them isn't quite straight-forward. The only thing I can say for sure is that it can not and will not be dependent on any central servers or anything alike.

DogeParty a.k.a. CounterParty https://www.counterparty.co/ would be a way better way of pegging the price of dope to DOPE. Many more dispensaries could peg dope to DOPE at the price they want and limit the amount dope available for pre-sale. It wouldn't require any deals/work between the dope devs and dispensaries if DopeParty is used.

DopeParty would require 1 or more part-time workers supporting it. It would be a big project.


I would like to say coins are open source community projects but now that there are so many coins it's impossible to find talented people to do things like this for coins. Due to this change in crypto, I definitely think we need to start a DOPE fund with a substantial amount of coins in it. At least 20 millions coins. Right now is a perfect time to make this fund while coins are dirty cheap. We will have to give a person/group 5 million coins to make/run DopeParty. The only way to get loyal supporters is by giving them a lot of free coins.


20 mil is a lot... Maybe try setting a goal of 2 mil and see if we can reach that much.

Agreed, once again.

Open source should not and can not equal "endless voluntary workforce".

Altcoin.Center has some very talented people available (and we can easily find more - Finland is full of superb coders etc.) but it's real work and people need to live on something.

I'm in this because I think supporting DOPE is the right thing to do for the whole mankind. That said, I too could definitely use some support - the past seven years have been very rough.

One option is, that the DOPE community makes an official deal with Altcoin.Center regarding the required services. I can't make that decision on my own since there's an obvious conflict of interest.

I warmly support this idea. Part of the funds could be used for different ways of doing good, such as purchasing medical cannabis for those who need it but can't afford it, etc.

THC has POW+POS so it took a lot of work for the community member to make that block explorer. It's the best POW+POS block explorer in crypto. I think that block explorer is a lot easier to make with a POW only coin. It's an open source project for a POW only coin (bitcoin).

I agree. There seems to be a "brain drain" of dev. talent because of all the alt-coins out there. I think we can get some core peeps to help build out cool aspects of DopeCoin still.
