Would DOPE want to consider a partnership with ROSCOIN?

What kind of partnership?

I wouldn't mind if all weed coins would put their efforts together and made a new coin (or used one of the existing ones) and every weed coin holder could exchange their old coins to new ones. This would make it easier to market the coin to merchants as there would be only one with huge support instead of many with lesser support. This could work because none of the coins are yet established enough. Thoughts?

There are a lot of things that coins can do together. You can indeed make one big coins for all weed coins together, you can do join mining as it was described on this thread before the hype, we can work on technical innovation for coins, for example we are currently working on a Android staking wallet and if DOPE will move to a POS type of coin then that is a nice feature. There is not only CANN, there are a lot of other coins that are a lot cheaper and when those coins are putting their brains together then we can be as big as CANN. Face it, currently DOPE is worth $170k, ROS $30k, MARYJ $140k, THC $140k, if all work together then i'm pretty sure that we can have a $1M coin. (or coins)

Moving all the coins onto the same source code base, with modified settings variables for each coin, would be a great idea.

Here's my response to a private message from dopecoindude in which he offered to take charge of the DOPE development.

Hi!

You taking the lead sounds like a good idea to me. I'm way overbooked, simply unable to give DOPE the amount of dedicated attention it needs right now.

I'll be getting the PoD done on me ASAP anyways, and keep giving DOPE my full support, channeled through Altcoin.Center as a number of development, maintenance and publicity related services. These include a guarantee for maintaining the DOPE block chain up and healthy for minimum of ten years, providing the server space needed for web pages, pools etc. A.C will also be providing the DOPE project with lots of material that can be used in promotion and marketing, such as videos etc.

This stuff would normally cost and it would probably be considered expensive. One of the reasons why I've been so late with delivering anything is that I have an urge to do everything very very well. There's a lot I have had to do alone and things have started off so unexpectedly that there's been quite a hassle. When the initial TODO flood has been sorted out, what will be at hand in the form of A.C is a unique little combination of "stuff" targeted for the altcoin scene.

In essence, A.C is an investment company that invests in altcoins in ways that directly increases the credibility of those coins. We do things like guarantee the health of any given block chain, inspect and evaluate the code, provide free mining pools for all the coins we choose to invest into, and so forth. We may and probably will develop coins of our own as well, and may occasionally take charge of the development of a potential coin that is in danger of being dumped, yet we are more interested in investing in and working with coin development projects than harboring them ourselves.

When the incredible possibility for me to take charge of DOPE development landed on me, Altcoin.Center had not started or even dawned to me yet. I was honored to even be considered for the position, and said yes in a situation when DOPE was still my only altcoin related project. Since then things have changed many times over, and I'm happy and relieved that you're willing to take over the responsibilities of a lead developer.

P.S. Apparently A.C is under it's first DDoS. That is why both dopecoin.com and the Altcoin.Center DOPE pool are down. There's not much I can do about the situation right now - just have to wait until the storm settles. We'll have very efficient shields installed soon - that's one of the top priorities on my overloaded TODO...

pools are difficult to run. It doesnt mean its a scam. I hope you get your coins. Quite often pool can get it fixed and send you your coins after a certain amount of time.

People should stop mining there if it isn't run by a good operator.

So let's say DOPE, ROS, MARYJ, and THC would combine their forces and create a new coin (or use one of the existing ones), so the total market valuation would be 170k + 30k +140k + 140k = 480k.

DOPE owners would get 170/480 = 35% of the new coin,
ROS owners would get 30/480 = 6% of the new coin,
MARYJ owners would get 140/480 = 29% of the new coin,
THC owners would get 140/480 = 29% of the new coin.

So for example, if the new currency would have 100 million coins, and if you have 1% of the available THC supply, you would get 100M * 0.01 * 140 / 480 = 292k new coins.

Obviously if each coin thinks they're better off by themselves this won't happen.

It's just <120 000 000 DOPE in existance, and it's quite possible that devs will move DEPE to 100% PoS stage. I agree that 100K is just a dream, but with a good developement 5K sats is reachable.

I understand the rush to have clear answers to everything. Those will be provided. There have been many technical and tactical possibilities available, and choosing the best one(s) to build upon are not always the easiest to find. Things will settle down and clear up very soon.
