XT - full node (because I want bitcoin to progress and dislike the Blockstream rule and their agenda)
Core - wallet kept offline on dedicated laptop, holds some part of my bitcoin savings (I will swap this to xt if majority forms around XT by january)
Paperwallets - (safety)
Copay - mobile (primary mobile wallet for spending on the go)
Mycelium - mobile (secondary mobile wallet)
Bitcoin wallet - mobile (redundancy)

For local wallets I think Multibit is the best (and they are working on a new version that looks awesome). For convenience, blockchain.
back when i was looking for an SPV wallet i was considering Multibit but i have heard some horror stories about it; besides they enforced additional fees in order to use their "free" wallet so i switched to Electrum and i am happy with it so far.

blockchain and coinbase, why store all eggs in one basket but both your baskets are bad choices for storing bitcoin, you have to make a choice between some of other secure ways of storing your bitcoins soon. i suggest you look into different cold storage options and chose one.

If you download your private key from blockchain.info and use a strong password while creating the wallet, then it is a secure one. Bitcoin tool's security is mostly dependent on its user.

I mainly use Coinbase. They required my ID and all that, but I am not so much concerned about privacy and think my Bitcoins are more secure online than in my own computer. Also it allows to trade my bitcoins for fiat and viceversa easily, and to login in other sites (zapchain, purse.io) it is very convenient.

SPV is ultimately centralized and you are trusting the server hosts will not keep logs etc. I would rather stick to Core. In the next update the merging feature should be available so running Core may become as easy as running your average 3rd party wallet which is what most people not running nodes run anyway.

I use blockchain and multibit. Both of them work flawlessly for me. I use Multibit more, and I have more money in my multibit wallet.

I used multibit classic for a long time. When they implemented a hard fee and a donation for every transaction I said forget that crap and went to Armory. More storage required but $50 got me a new 160gb SSD and now it all loads great. Armory is a fantastic program for both cold storage AND everyday spending.
