bitcoin core (the basics) and brainwallet.org (client side code)
This is highly insecure unless the pass-a-phrase is properly salted.

bitcoind and bitcoin-qt
bitcoind mostly because I don't need the gui for most of what I do, and don't run it from the user account I usually use in Linux.
So I can just su to that user and do what I need.
i like to run a full node because it helps the network out, especially new users who haven't figured out they can torrent the blockchain.

MultiBit. Last year, the first time I bought my first BTC, I downloaded Bitcoin-Qt and fukk, it needs a year to sync. Found MultiBit and voila! Been using it for a year now.

What is the advantage of using MultiBit over blockchain.info ?

This is highly insecure unless the pass-a-phrase is properly salted. IIRC the private key is actually generated on the server side

I also use blockchain.info due to convenience. Sometimes I also use Electrum as backup.

My personal wallet I use Multibit. I also use Armory for other business related wallets. I tend to stay away from centralized web wallets like blockchain.info but would use them if I am just storing a small amount of coins temporarily.

I received info from them about it but didn't bother checking it out for 2 reasons. 1) I rarely keep much there for any period of time. 2) I be idiot and I rely on others to evaluate things. As I be idiot I use Electrum because it is fairly idiot proof. No backups needed of anything and if my computer falls in a vat of acid, no problem. Also it's easy to have multiple wallets.

bitcoind and bitcoin-qt. I don't trust online wallets since they may get hacked more easily than a standard encrypted wallet. I might be wrong, though.

Until recently I used blockchain because I made what I now believe to be a faulty assumption about it being more secure than an encrypted QT or Armory wallet because it wasn't stored on my computer. Although I do like the dual passwords and 2 factor, I'm switching to an entirely offline Armory set up with a watch only wallet on my main PC.
I'll transfer spending funds to my mobile wallet as I need them.
