Until recently I used blockchain because I made what I now believe to be a faulty assumption about it being more secure than an encrypted QT or Armory wallet because it wasn't stored on my computer. Although I do like the dual passwords and 2 factor, I'm switching to an entirely offline Armory set up with a watch only wallet on my main PC.
I'll transfer spending funds to my mobile wallet as I need them.
Have you thought about using trezor? I think it would suit your needs (for at least a portion of your holdings). I like you can monitor your balances on your computer, but not really have the coins online...

I think he is trying to round up people that have had coins stolen from them on Coinbase and bring a joint action. I haven't had any issues with Coinbase before, and I have used them very frequently. I was actually storing a decent amount of coins there (yes I know I didn't have control of my private keys), but I liked the convenience. I have since moved the majority away from there, but I would still recommend them for ease of use. The "vault" that they added was also a good idea for long term savings, and for people who may have problems gambling away their coins.

I use Mycelium and Multibit because they are fast. I also use BitcoinD for serious bitcoining. I program using Bits of Proof Supernode because it is fast and has a useful API.

I purchased my first Bitcoin this weekend with Coinbase. I wasn't impressed, it's going to take six days to see it! Any services faster than that?

Electrum Keep your keys offline, but manage your coins online. Backup only once. Never have to backup again. So awesome.

At the moment I'm using Electrum and a few throwaway wallets on Blockchain. Looking forward to trying out Dark Wallet, hope they'll be releasing a Firefox version soon (can't stand Chrome).

If there really was a problem then I think it would be much better known then just a few reports by random people. Coinbase value will prevent funds from being sent out until 48 hours after a request was made. Gamblers usually want to be able to gamble their money right away, so even if they request their funds to be sent to a casino, they will likely lose interest in gambling it once the funds are released.

The reports I heard of aren't about sending btc to a gambling site but CB not accepting btc from a gambling site. If you receive it they say remove it and please don't use our service,
CB is in the US and has always tried to comply with regulations in a way that keeps them out of trouble. They must have recently changed their KYC rules as I had to give them additional personal info that they didn't require about 2 months ago.
My gambling transactions will not be going directly to CB anymore so no feedback will be forthcoming from me.
My present CB balance is 0. All my btc is under my control.

Which Bitcoin Client do you use and why ? If you use web wallets, please do mention which one is your choice and why ?
I use Multibit desktop wallet because You cant solomine BTC unless you have 1 Phash/s or more in mining power so why deal with the whole sync and crap, I dont use online wallets because none of them are secure in any way and most of them take to long for transfers, Multibit does not have to completely sync and has a very fast transfer. gives me all the benefits of the qt wallet without the wait If I were solo-mining BTC I would have to get a qt wallet But I am not I solo mine low difficulty shit coins and trade them for BTC hahahahahaha

Running a full node will help the network and will help decentralize the network. I do agree that wallets like multibit are good for the masses as it is very simply to use and does not take up a lot of computer resources.
