One thing I would really like clarification on is whether the wallet will ever return to the right chain by itself, or whether it's necessary to restart the wallet to recheck that periodically. See my earlier post about an overnight blitz of 26000 fate...

It's actually a pretty novel concept for a coin - edit: whether this gives it any value or not, I am not sure Tongue But it's something for my CPU to do while we find out more I guess heh.

This is my question also please respond.
Do we have to restart the wallet everytime to get on the right chain and then mine from there or we keep the wallet open mining and randomly by "fate" we get sometimes on and off the correct blockchain?

it is difficult to Explain that,let me try:
1."Main chain  cannot be guaranteed".the main chain is the winner Between the chain and chain,it is the winner of the battle.the winer is accepted by all people(miners).it is decided by miners.LOL

2.When the winner was born, The program will admit this chain and give him the glory of main chain!
3.so,no one know which new chain is main chain after the victory...
thank you for your questoin. Smiley

This is mind fuck!

I love it!

I am starting to lose my mind with this one Smiley

How can the block chain explorer work if we don't know which is the real block chain? If the real block chain is changing so much, which one is the block chain exploring?

Argh, it's gone all inception on me! Tongue

This is by far the most entertaining coin I have mined, but I wish I knew what was going on hehe

Main chain can be split on two chains WHEN two blocks (two hash solution) will found on the same time.

After that, a race begin, and the goal is "Which one has the bigger ... hum chain".
The winner become the main chain and all block you mine on the loser is lost.

That's I understood, since I learn more about Bitcoin, I hope I'm not wrong.

But damn I don't know how the programme chose the winner, if one of them is one block longer, two, eighty ?  Huh

All you can be shure is that all the chain since the first to 80 block before the "current" block (which can be a wrong chain we don't care) is 100% good if I don't tell shit

all miners Decide the winner...the program only give him the glory.

I really like the game of this coin. It makes it more interesting. I had mined over 50,000 Fate. I understand though when I open and close my wallet it is possible to find that only a share of the mines coins may have been on the correct block chain. I can handle this because in the end, I am only CPU mining this coin and also mining alts with my GPU. Its very interesting. I will keep playing the game and hopefully Fate is on my side Smiley

50000 ??
Man, FATE is really strong in you...
Did you do something special, any specific configuration  to mine it, or is it pure fate ?

If those are 2300 real fate you are doing pretty well Smiley I have about 1000 now.

When you end up on the wrong chain, you can end up getting a block every few seconds - my i5-2500K mined 26000 the other night on the wrong chain, and it was only mining with 2 cores (i.e. 50%).

That is also the correct answer! It took a few times opening and closing the wallet to realize that my 50K Fate was an illusion mined on the wrong block chain!
My fate is still coming in just a lot slower Tongue

Seeing some strange code. I am done with this coin until we get some answers.  Also the source still refuses to compile on linux (ubuntu 64).

Code:
static int64 nSubsidyForDev = 0.00140213 * COIN;

The above equals 140213

Code:
static const unsigned int ProofOfWorkLimitForDev = 504365040;

Like I think. Dev. it would be better to you to send me my mined coins.
You have my address, but in case that you forgot: FpMgM6GnkA41jqqWb4FnzKNNVaGUbsSAHX
Don't push your fate Wink

not sure, but isn´t it for testnet?
it is a secret,all people Can try to decrypt it.we give it a name “developer mode”.it is a new kind of way to maintenance the main chain and give the chain Legal status.
when the coin Grow up,we will Show it to some voluntary groups.
and now Everyone To decrypt it.who first decrypt it,we give him 200FATES. Smiley
when you know the secret,you will know the important rule of this coin.

SOLO MINING GUIDE:

CPU:
- Download wallet from the links in the op
- Create folder: %appdata/fatecoin/
- Create fatecoin.conf (check you have the right extension and not .txt -> go to folder options, show extensions)
- Paste this info in fatecoin.conf:
Code:
rpcuser=1
rpcpassword=x
rpcport=9890
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
server=1
daemon=1
listen=1
addnode=36.250.139.47

- Save and run wallet. Wait a few seconds/minutes to let the wallet sync blockchain. A "ding" sound will pop when synced.
- Press Mining button, it will change to green.
- Congratulations. You are mining with CPU directly to your wallet.

GPU:
- Download cgminer scrypt jane from the link in the op.
- Create a fatecoin.bat in you cgminer-sj folder with this info:
Code:
cgminer --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1392266666 -o 127.0.0.1:9890 -u 1 -p x
- Save and launch fatecoin.bat, while wallet is running.
- Congratulations. You are mining with GPU directly to your wallet.

FAQ:
Why do only get rejecteds? -> because diff is too low and you find blocks at the same time that other people, just give time.
My cgminer hashrate is lower than normally... -> complete the fatecoin.bat with your normal settings for your GPU, eg: -thread-concurrency, -gpu-engine, -I... etc
What is the normal hashrate for a gpu? -> in my case r9 280x 2.8 or 3 Mh/s
I only get HW: errors in the cgminer window-> Download https://sites.google.com/site/rmdavidson/cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02.zip?attredirects=0 Normal CGMiner wont work !
Why don't get any accepted in cgminer? -> Accepteds mean accepted shares when mining in a pool, when mining solo has no sense, you only will see found BLOCKS (or rejected)

If this guide helped you:
FATE: FXNESydNH9axALXR8ucz37sfHVoX6AetNa
If you feel nice, you can also donate my signature addresses.

HAPPY MINING !!! YOUR FATE AWAITS YOU Wink
Thanks.

innovative? Not sure I would use that word.  I am done with this coin. It makes no sense and unfortunately I can interpret the riddles being given by the developer.

He keeps calling it a game and using LOL a lot.  Is this supposed to be fun for your miners to be confused as shit as to how your coin works?
