Investment in Alts vs BTC?

I think every altcoin, BTC or ICO has an advantage, only its value that different, and in my opinion, investment in altcoin has a greater result. but if its altcoin has good growth. besides that altcoin price is relatively very cheap.

here an investor should be able to choose a good investment place, you must go to market and analysis all aspects that could affect the value of bitcoin.

I think the bitcoin & ethereum is considered as the safest and stable cryptocurrency because they are already established and great players and leaders in their respective technology category. Investment in both will offer more likely modest return as they carry low risk as compare to all other altcoins.

If you invest in top 200 altcoins they can be riskier as some of them still to be launch their mainnet and some of them already launch their mainnet but still they are to be provide the exposure to their altcoins as they have promised in their white papers. However, if the success and if their adoption  and user base will increase with good partnership they can give handsome profits.

I think return on bitcoin investment is more compared to altcoins. ICO investment is totally a different scenario. Prices of altcoins increases or decreases in accordance with bitcoin so it is better to invest in bitcoin.
In altcoin  I think ETH is the best option for you in term of long term investment. ETH will give you good profit.

Investing in bitcoin will certainly be a top choice for me. bitcoin gives me comfort and also a calm in investing. different with altcoin and ico projects that have very fast price movements. in total, bitcoin is much safer to invest. but for anyone who wants to speculate and want to try to gain bigger profits then ico proiect can be an alternative, but please be calculated that the risk is also much greater that we can lose all the money we have.

In my opinion, we should have both investment but in persentage it should be 70% of bitcoin and 30% of altcoins. Why? Simple because bitcoin is more stable than altcoins and bitcoin prove his worth for a Long time ago. actually there's a good return in ICO investment site but it depends if it will succeed to reach the estimated price or let say the target and goals  of  the project. So i suggest before contributing on it don't forget to make a research to ensure you are in good project and there's a good return after.  And also on alt coin same thing as well , wherein make some research because that's the most important and pick a coins that has a potential to hold in long run. Don't just buy without TA 'cause most coins nowadays turn into shitcoin after all. So alway bear it on your mind.  And speaking about  bitcoin ,well it still promising for me compare to some coins in the market , but  it needs more patience  .

In my own perspective, I would go 50:50 on altcoins and bitcoins. Especially now that Bitcoin is being eyed for ETFs this would be a good pontential for long term value or investment. Then I would trade 50% for altcoins because altcoins are much lower in price there you can see price sky rocket more than 20%. So you would have profit both for long term and in short term.

I do not agree with you. Every altcoin does not have an advantage since there are a big portion of them which have been primarily designed to rip off investors and scam them. Only the altcoins which are constantly being developed and which have huge communities will attract more and more investors which will help them survive no matter what. Coming to the question posted by op, investment in Bitcoin is far safer when compared to investing in altcoins.

Alts vs BTC both are good for investments, long term investments only suits for altcoins. Because the value of altcoin depends upon the bitcoin price. If bitcoin price increases automatically altcoins price also increases. Bitcoin is good for both investments. We have to choose the altcoins from coinmarketcap and select the high potential and promosing coins from the list and then you invest. Then only the profit will be more while you sell.

Well by experience I will say ICO gives more profit when you invest in good ICO, but these days because of bear market, it seems ICO investing is the worse these so buying altcoins is safer in these bear market.

It depends on the kind of investment that I was looking into making at the time. If I was looking to invest for the short term then I would be investing in altcoins, they are better suited to be bought and sold in the short term for profit.
