rat4 set forth for the planet Ekats, to return
priceless treasures plundered by Niniman thugs.

Suddenly, rat4 receives a weak distress call from an
uncharted planet. A research base on the planet has been
attacked by evil aliens Skrejgib and the science team needs
help. Delaying his triumphant return to Ekats,
he sets course for the troubled planet.

On entering orbit, rat4 sets his transporter to beam him
near the base, and armed with only his lightsaber, he enters
the teleport chamber...

Cool, nice to know, i only noticed as i was syncing up the last week with my wallet to make another burn and it was taking ridiculous amount of time which i assume is due to all the block verification being done, large number of orphans showing in the log. 

amazing amount of transactions this month, i believe its an all time high for BLK, and total transaction volume on blockchain is probably higher then majority of altcoins for the last month.

Correct BLK was initially distributed as a POW network but that phase ended after just some weeks.    Ever since 2014 its been Proof of stake network which has substantial advantages in (network) cost and efficiency over the POW method.    Smart money is usually to hold at least some of a new project or a new direction taken on an old project like this one.
I'll hold a little of both as they develop, I think POS will increasingly compare well to POW and the general public still miss the point of why POW suffers from higher costs in its operations.   Free markets are driven by efficiency so it will matter over time

1. with blacknet does it have provision to stop people just copy and pasting with no benefit to blacknet like pos3 did with blackcoin? So I notice in the license it now says if people want to copy and paste blacknet they must airdrop to blacknet owners the coins?  is this correct? This if true i think will secure you work benefits tightly to blacknet. Do you think blacknet can enforce this?

Legal action can be started to enforce the license. I mean stuff like de-listing from regulated exchanges.

2. have you considered to use david zimbecks harry potter obfuscating idea to also keep the project " open source " but stop it being copied easily. Even more security for blacknet. I'm sure he will help you do this since before when talking about you with him I got the impression he was quite a big fan of yours.

Freedoms to study and change are important. Obfuscation limits these freedoms.

Ercoin is a new independent project. Personally, I keep some BLK for it.

Well, no exchanges need to be informed in advance for a snapshot and wanted to know if there will be a rescheduling for another snapshot as they need to halt wallets for a period as they too need to snapshot. That's standard. You were not communicating with me so we couldn't work together on that. The problem is, people will go to them and ask for their Blacknet coins. They would need to know when exactly the snapshot had been done. They do have a process for that.

Side note, I have been following Blacknet development, I agree with much of rat4's independent research and improvements over the regular Bitcoin-like code. They are a step in the right direction and a great improvement.

With the burning, I think, it was a good compromise the more I had thought about it. It still does serve a generally positive purpose.

I do think that the Jelurida license is maybe a bit controversial however I get why you went into that direction. I don't know if it had caused a positive impact of NXT or not. Only their own project has been a fork of NXT, and no others, I don't think. If someone forks a project, I see it as a compliment? (But I would be pissed as I'd prefer them to help haha!) Personally, I'd prefer an anti-ICO clause, where the work can not be sold for profit in an initial coin offering. If you are interested, I could ask a lawyer friend of mine if they would be up for writing one?

Is the technology that BlackNet will use not known already? Or was this comment in regard to a possibility of BlackCash? Although I would assume it would then still be related to the technology of BlackNet?
