When does the Multipool actually start buying?

They buy throughout the day and if the trend follows like yesterday, all payouts will be done by midnight. Although I have heard that they will be testing out the payout script. Not sure how accurate that is though.

For more updated info, join the IRC. Link is available on the website. www.blackcoin.co
In order to get the maximum amount of activity points possible, you just need to post once per day on average. Skipping days is OK as long as you maintain the average.

What is causing the consistent rise?

the power of a deflationary currency. only supply that is out there is already held. Add a few gh of miners dumping btc into BC every day and you have constant buying pressure. target within 7 days is 15k

My initial calculations were 12k in a month, but I think you may be right

I'm in the top 100 though so I can't say I'll be disappointed if I'm wrong and your right

If your not actively using the technology behind your crypto investment,

IT IS A SCAM!!!!

I'm curious as I'm new to pretty much all of this: the OP says that it's not limited to the number of coins available. But I was reading this thread periodically today and I thought someone was saying it is in fact limited and there isn't anymore mining, so what is out now currently in the market is it (so like someone selling is only selling from their stash, not from newly mined coins)?

Also can someone help explain what the multipool is? What does that mean in terms of this coin? I've been watching it for the past week or so but am just so new that it's hard to grasp.

All the coins have been mined, The multipool mines other coins sells them for btc and buys bc with that btc.

Copied from the BlackCoinPool IRC chat (sorry for the wall of text), beta's progressing well, although mining profitability is currently low compared to other multipools, or standard mining of Alts and using them to purchase BC directly:

[02:51] <digicidal> weird... I mined consistently with ~1.8Mh/s and I got 21... something strange
[02:52] <goblynn> i got 25 from 3mh/s
[02:52] <theneos> woot got my payment of 14BC! for just about 2 hours of mining Tongue
[02:52] <goblynn> been mining all day and all night
[02:52] <goblynn> Sad
[02:52] <hdeva> the price is expensive so we get little
[02:52] <digicidal> well, then maybe mine does make sense...

Closed beta has just ended, they are reconfiguring the servers ready for open beta in a few hours, details of which will be announced in the OP and Twitter.

To best connect your cgminer to the pool, they're suggesting adding the following settings to increase mining efficiency & profitability:
[03:29] <@adarkvox> try setting your que to 0, scan time to 1, and expiry to 1

Not to be a douche about it but if you don't like it do it on your own.  This is still in beta and you can't expect the same as payouts as BTC multipoools, for one you are getting hit twice with conversion fees.  I personally have been doing this on my own and have gotten good results.  Just wait till all the bugs are bashed out and it will be good.

awesome!

after just losing a ton of BC by selling it too low, and another coin i was holding just tanking... i'm pretty keen for the BC multipool Tongue

more hash rate on it, more BC you get AND the higher BC's value will rise Wink

I do like it tbf, the idea is genius & I know the efficiency will increase throughout the beta period.  Closed-Beta was to test core functionality; Open-Beta will be for optimising Cheesy

Was simply giving a heads up to other BCT users about the Dev teams excellent progress Smiley

Smiley Thank you so so much. This whole world of coins is beyond confusing and while super straightforward, I would've never gotten it by trying to back read haha. Have been learning a lot and really appreciate the help!! Smiley

I started reading this thread around Page 300 or so and I had similar questions. It's tough to read 300-400 pages to find an answer and I'm sure there are other new readers of this thread who have the same questions as you. It doesn't take much to explain this fine coin so it's no problem.
