GPU.OakPool.com is LIVE and taking REGISTRATIONS!

This is a pre-registration period allowing you to prepare for launch. Get an early start by signing up, setting up your worker(s), and prepping your miner(s).

OakPool has a 1% fee

Why do we charge a fee? We use the fee to cover server and hardware charges but more importantly we will use a portion of that fee to offer you REWARDS and BONUSES for mining with us. As a miner you are an integral part of the pool and we want to make sure and reward loyalty; from the great big miners to the small miners, we will do our best to show our appreciation.
Just make sure your pool actually gets online at release this time, not 12 hours later like it happened with redd...  Angry

Ouch, but that's fair. It wasn't entirely our fault, the coin dev gave the pools faulty source code initially and that caused some bugs for us with that launch. OakPool is the largest Redd Coin pool now though =)

Hahah Wink

We were one of the first pools up, we just had an issue with the crons fighting each other which resulted in the dashboard not reporting properly. However, we recovered and a few weeks later we had almost 50% of the net hash and got attacked... so perhaps slow and steady wins the race? We currently are either the biggest or 2nd biggest pool on redd with 300mhs+.

That being said, we've learned a lot from that launch and have upgraded our servers, streamlined the launch process, and have deployed a load balancer to prevent things from going crazy on future launches.

Hi
How do you know what I sent you BTC?
What should I do after I send coins?

I am under the impression they created a unique wallet address for each donor, which is how they keep track of donations.

To double check this assumption, the last three chars of my address is 'WiQ'.  Everyone should have different addresses.

nah the best is still 280x toxic, just undervolt it

mine does 780kh/s with 200 watt, i don't think a 270s can do better than this

I would agree that is astounding, what voltage are you running? What OS, mining software, and settings? I get 500kh+ from 270's @ 167w. I think it's still arguable that price-wise the 270 still comes out on top, as moxt Toxic's are in the $450+ range, but you can source 270's for $150.

I've seen undervolting do a great job before, like save 20% power while still keeping your same hashrate, but that figure is phenominal. I'm running a toxic at 810-815 @ 360watts. That would mean you're taking 45% away from the chip with less than 4% of impact.

You might want to contact AMD and let them know your findings lol..

yeah my chip is lucky, i'm probably under 200 watt, 170-180w, vcore is 1v

idea looks interesting but I'm skeptical. there is not enough coherent information about your company

won't call you scamer but i will wait and maybe mine some if launch will be good. but no ipo without information i can check!
however good launch for all!

There's no room for humans in this game. Lol understood, but the website is down for most humans. I tried on my home internet, work, and cell.

Ok, so server isn't detecting anything wrong and I can't find anything wrong.  The only thing we could think of is the previous domain owner had malicious code and the site is blocked by the ISP.

If anyone who can't access the site could please do a Trace Route so I can see exactly what is going on, I would greatly appreciate it.

I think 270x would be good since people could buy those for comparatively less money (or GPUcoins) so it might be a way for miners or investors to realize their profits a bit sooner (since you can get 270x in the $200 range, you should be able to mine for one quicker than a more expensive card).

However that lower price point could have negative effects. I see that it would be in the coin's benefit to only sell expensive cards at launch, so people don't drop off mining once they get the card that they want.  People will continue to grind and try to get that 290x!

I already own 3 270x cards so I'd likely be shooting for a 280x or 290x anyway.

At any rate, getting on an exchange will be key. It might be a good idea to start on cryptorush and push hard for votes to get on mintpal as soon as possible after launch.  You might have to allocate some BTC to upvote your coin to the top.

When you look at BlackCoin, that damn thing went on mintpal within a couple of days after launch... so it is definitely possible.

So, from my research on the ASUS GPUs I came up with the following list

GPU : Newegg Price : Average Hash : Un-modded Wattage
270          $260                450               150W
270X        $300                446               225W
280X        $479                695               300W
290          $550                819               300W
290X        $650                878               300W

Hash was calculated as the average off all the litecoin mining hardware comparison, wattage came from the ASUS official web page.

It seems as though the 270 is the best bang for your buck as you can get 6 running on a single computer with a 1000W PSU, and makes the 270X useless as it gets the same hash while requiring more wattage and being more expensive.  The same thing is to be said about the 290 vs 290X, while leaving the 280X as the middle contender.

This leads me to want to stock only 3 types of cards: 270, 280X, 290.

If anyone has any other info that would lead me to believe differently, please let me know.

Also, there is a high influx of small IPO investors and keeping up with responses is getting difficult due to everything being manual.  I will also be going out tonight to have a business dinner with an investor, so if my responses are delayed, please don't be alarmed.  Every IPO account has a unique BTC wallet address, so all of your deposits are linked directly to your IPO number and e-mail address.

in for ipo, and will be mining. I didn't want to list that I will be up for a gpu due to not knowing the cost of the gpu in gpucoins so I didn't vote for I want one but if I get enough coins mining/etc then yes I will want some.
