Ok, back from out and about. The investor is sceptical of this market, him being used to brick and mortar stores, but not disinterested. I may be looking at another $10,000 USD to add to the GPU stock. Back to dealing with e-mails.

if you are going to call it gpucoin, make it at least scrypt-n
+1000 Why the fuck is this scrypt when scrypt asics are right around the corner? Not enough thought was put into this. There will never be any such thing. You still have to buy expensive fast video RAM. This is like the "winter is coming" of Scrypt coins. Winter never comes. Even if they do pack GPU memory onto some other board then what you have is a useless pile of crap when you're done mining coins with it. GPUs can be resold.

Also, all expected delivery dates for all the companies offering them have never been met. It's not that easy. Even if they do actually develop it. It would still need to go through FCC/CE Mark certification before they can actually sell it.

Does each IPO investor deposit their investment into a unique BTC address? Is that how OP knows which investor number it is from? The one I was told to use has no transactions yet.

Each address is unique so it's easier for me to keep track of.

That's fine if you don't want to release the wallet early. I have no desire to mine nor would I ruin a coin launch. It doesn't help my business which is running the best exchange possible. I simply wanted to be able to simultaneously launch with the coin. If everyone is fine with a delay before it goes live on the exchange, I have no problem waiting for the coin launch. Either way, you have bittrex.com's commitment to support the coin at launch. Oh and by the way... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=492758.msg5432310#msg5432310 come and get it!

While I apologize for sounding apprehensive, the internet isn't the safest of places. I'm sure the community is just as happy as I am to have your exchange on board to help us move the crypto industry forward into a more business like industry.

It's unfortunate that the crypto world has been plagued by such security and integrity problems in the past. It's one of the reasons my partners and I started a new exchange. Look forward to the launch. I'll try to have VMs ready and infrastructure ready so I can get the exchange up while you get the coin and the pools up.

And since people got scared yesterday when I didn't respond to the IPO e-mails, I'm informing all that I'm heading to bed. Once I wake I'll get right back into things and continue getting everything ready for launch.

The more i look at this the more I like it. It's a coin and a bulk order(Groupon style) method of getting cheaper gpus.
I'm looking for r9 270's. I should have picked them up in January when they were 50-100 cheaper. I think, in terms of numbers -the 270 would be widely sought after as well.
There will always be the hurdle of needing to prove yourself not to be a scammer, and that is a good thing. Best Launch Wishes, I'll be mining.

Is there any chance you could stock custom R9 290, like the Tri-X? Reference coolers are horrible.

This is a pre-registration period allowing you to prepare for launch. Get an early start by signing up, setting up your worker(s), and prepping your miner(s). OakPool has a 1% feeWhy do we charge a fee? We use the fee to cover server and hardware charges but more importantly we will use a portion of that fee to offer you REWARDS and BONUSES for mining with us. As a miner you are an integral part of the pool and we want to make sure and reward loyalty; from the great big miners to the small miners, we will do our best to show our appreciation. We are going to be doing a few different giveaways from the start. Besides just giving away coins we are also going to giveaway Battlefield 4 Keys. Come sign up and join us for launch!
