Why do people worry about dedicated asic systems ruining coins? It helps stabilize networks and grow. You have to keep in the game if you're going to be a big part of it. Reinvest earnings into larger machines. They're more efficient anyhow.

no they are bad, they turn mining more and more centralized, just look at bitcoin, yes for now they seems good, but when the cost will rise, normal people would not be able to obtain them anymore, and they will be left out of the game...

Surprised you don't go with Keccak, like Max coin and Helix.
Cards run 30% cooler and quieter as well as Asic resistant.

yes script machines can mine keccak, and they do run cooler, not sure about asic resistant because if a asic script can mine script, and a script card can mine script, whats to stop a asic script from mining keccak?

You need to read up on what asics actually are and how they work. A scrypt asic will never be able to mine keccak properly. You would need an asic specifically designed for keccak, 'application specific' = asic designed to do only a specific task.

if i understand good you want to put at store first just for $, later for GPU coins as price ? mayby it would be a good idea to put some small calculated fee in coins apart from $ this could lead to some outsiders interest in gpucoins...

This is a pre-registration period allowing you to prepare for launch. Get an early start by signing up, setting up your worker(s), and prepping your miner(s).

OakPool has a 1% fee

Why do we charge a fee? We use the fee to cover server and hardware charges but more importantly we will use a portion of that fee to offer you REWARDS and BONUSES for mining with us. As a miner you are an integral part of the pool and we want to make sure and reward loyalty; from the great big miners to the small miners, we will do our best to show our appreciation.

So, the dev is working right now to make GPU Coin a scrypt-n coin, hopefully it will be done by tonight.  This should hopefully secure the fact that we are a GPU based entity and you wont have to worry about any ASICs destroying the coin.
Well done.  Wink
Also because this will avoid Multipools raping the coin when it gets on cryptsy, which is always a good thing.  Grin

GPUs are ASICs you guys ...

Part of why bitcoin's value took off is the fact that companies were built up from the community, designing dedicated systems for it. Why do you think the value stayed practically worthless years prior? Never understood why people are so scared of ASIC dedicated systems. You're either into mining, or you're not.

Thanks for all your support.

And since people got scared yesterday when I didn't respond to the IPO e-mails, I'm informing all that I'm heading to bed.  Once I wake I'll get right back into things and continue getting everything ready for launch.
Is there any chance you could stock custom R9 290, like the Tri-X? Reference coolers are horrible.

We were planning on stocking the ASUS R9 290 and already have an order for 10 in, which we will be increasing thanks to the all the new IPOs.

ASUS

The DC2 has quite a few issues. Can't you get ahold of Tri-X (or at least WF3)?

International shipping at reasonable prices?

We do intend to ship internationally, we just have to find the most cost effective service.

USPS to Canada is good

TriX/WF3 are great also. And I've asked before but I'll say it again, what about MSI? Built like a rock with the best warranty in the industry. They just paid me more than market value for some of my 7905's. You can't beat that for warranty support.

Hello All,
For some reason the CEO has decided to ignore my two emails offering to support this coin.  I wanted to offer to create a forum so, in the very least, the IPO members had a dedicated place to discuss plans.

Would anyone be interested in this?

Well tell you what, If u lend me about 10-13 k to buy some asics, then I can mine some btc directly and compete with the megapowerhouses... Most of direct btc mining is done in centralized locations...
