After a long wait and 4 failed launch dates including Valantines Day it looks like the cryptoapple community has taken over in a revolution and has decided to launch the coin before the developers had given the go ahead. Without a team and no wallet, they have all come together to startup multiple pool sites and have within hours of "Crapple" member requesting created a qt Wallet. mining has begun and people seem to be very excited.

Its the same coin. The stratum difficulty and the difficulty of the coin are two different things. Stratum difficulty only has to do with how often you submit shares to the server.
