I have run into several Bitcoin "newbies" over the last couple of months, that are spreading the wrong information on forums and/or in person. Their intentions is good, but the results is bad, because they did not do proper research.

Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

I think you should rather admit it, when you do not know something about the technology, than selling your little knowledge as facts. I will regularly tell people that I am not clued up with every aspect of this technology, but I always try to do proper research, when I encounter something that I am not 100% clued up on.

~ Ask, if you not sure.
~ Do not lie, if you are unsure.
~ Do proper research, before you educate other people.
~ Accept that you will not know it all.
~ Fact check what you already know.
~ Do not argue, if you not sure about your facts.

Let's agree that we all learn something new about this great technology almost every day, so only a small amount of us are experts.  Wink

My goodness, this! I'm probably at 2 years+(not that much, but still) but I always feel like an idiot when listening to someone like Andreas Antonopoulos speak. When listening to someone like him I feel like a total newbie(though I probably still am 🤔). I've come to terms with it though, that there's still a lot I have to learn. We never stop learning I guess.

Now it's a lot of newbie who make new topics without knowing the truth and do not research first. It's actually dangerous because if the news is fake it can make all investors afraid to invest again.
I see a lot of newbies who make fake newtopics make me sad.

Exactly, when you fact check these articles before you "forward" it to others or to other platforms, then things like this can be prevented, but most people are not even bothered and much to keen to be the first to post "breaking" news on another platform. So my advice will be to "fact check" everything, before you start posting it everywhere.

Remember there are a lot of shills that are constantly posting FUD all over the internet to spread misinformation, so when people just haphazardly post this garbage, without fact checking it, they get a little orgasm. <because they succeeded in their goal to spread misinformation>  Angry

Arguing without having proper knowledge about the topic is like the job of conspiracy theorists. they are keep on looking for evidence which will support their claim without knowing what was really the truth. This was disturbing in the crypto world since it will affect their funds to every negative actions that they are doing. Might as well they should keep on reading and reading books, news and articles about a certain topic so that they will always be updated on what was happening.

We can call them newbie experts and they are dangerous because they don't know the ABC of cryptocurreny market never do proper research and start educating and suggesting peoples and with their these kind of experiments peoples loose money because they start spreading fake, news i am also familiar with bitcoins since two years and i take proper knowledge and do research then do post or suggest people.

I assure that not only to newbies but to those who are not aware of trading bitcoins is also dangerous to them because if they dont know how to gain profit, they can not earn much in the trading bitcoins in the market.

I listened to a lot of experts in past 10 months and lost some money, not big amount but still i could use it for new car at least...  From youtube to here, just watch, read, listen for individual "crypto gurus" can be painful.

There are a lot of repositories and sources for knowledge but still, people don't want to take second opinion and check sources. I admit, almost 5 years on this forum and I know little about bitcoin's technicalities, but whenever I'm posed a question about any of it, I try my best to check legitimate sources and not mislead people. Sometimes, cognitive dissonance reigns supreme for most people even though it's easy to go look it up on the internet in today's age. People lose money, not because they don't know anything about a certain investment, but because they are lazy to know anything about it.

As you said most of the newbies were entering into the bitcoin with wrong intention that they can be a millionaire in very short term so they were just buying and selling keep repeating the cycle but from this they are not going to earn anything. So they need to understand what is the bitcoin before investing onto it.

All newbies in bitcoin can be dangerous in the sense that they dont have that enough knowledge and experience how to use this kind of technology. Newbies are the person that can be easily hack or scam. So, what ever you gonna do about bitcoin, read, research ask question before you act.

I am still a newbie but the difference is until now I still keep on doing some research rather than lecturing other people because I might mislead others. It is really not good to act as if you know everything but for real is your not.So before sharing some details make sure that it is right so that no one will get affected.Theres a big possibility that the one you gave some wrong info will also share to others so it will only cause chaos.

Unfortunately, there's nothing to be done. There will be many such pseudo-experts. Especially now, when people try to all ways earn merit. In General, any information should be checked by yourself. We cannot blindly follow what the opinion, it is necessary to rely only on themselves.

Also some expert are taking  advantage on newbie because they want to steal money from newbie's because as you said they are clueless and the reason they listen to them is they think they are expert and it will lead them to become rich and as I became a newbie before luckly I had a colleague who thought me on how to deal things in cryto.

Yes its kinda dangerous since some of experts take advantage on them. Maybe some of them are lack of knowledge about bitcoin but it doesnt matter if they are really determined to learn something or to get some information about bitcoin. Some of them are sharing their thoughts and opinion in forum there is nothing wrong with that.

This is a great post, I tend to agree with you, I have been in this game a few years now, and am still learning everyday. It can be a very dangerous space for newbies at present, cycles happen so quick and so subject to speculative price action, enough to scare to of the most seasoned traders out there

I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.

those who know more are always like this. in other words you are knowledgeable enough to know your knowledge is nothing but a drop of the ocean.

and regarding these newbies based on what i have seen i think it is mostly because of merit system. many of the topics that are created with a technical subject are for gaining merit. some of them even ask you to give them merit if you liked what you read!

There is a FOMO brewing...
