Altcoins will die due to Bitcoin bull run(ETF, big institutional investors)?

Hi, crypto enthusiasts!
I am thinking about recent situation on the crypto market. It seems that Bitcoin found the bottom and big investments are coming, but if you look at altcoins, almost every altcoin is bleeding and money is now moving into Bitcoin. Current Bitcoin dominance 47%!
Don´t you think that this could be end for many altcoins? Big institutional investors will not invest into altcoins...
What is your opinion.

I didn't believe your opinion sorry for that do not offend not all altcoins go to die specially the strongest top 20 in the row goes pump if bitcoin once bitcoin bull run some shitcoins goes to die but not all and also i beleve some shitcoin have possible to become expensive.

maybe it is true that some alt coins that do not have prospects in the future will die when bitcoin bull runs, but a strong alt coin will become X10 - X100 following the trend in bitcoin.

It's hard to predict but I hope it can happen soon because people are showing signs of investing in altcoin more because they want to make a big profit from this market. Personally I am sure if the ETF accepts this market will enter the best development phase and all will go to the moon

The dominance of bitcoin went down to 52.6% as of now.

This is just a cycle actually. when Bitcoin is down everything else is also down as there remains to be no decoupling from the King of Cryptocurrency which is of course Bitcoin. Where Bitcoin is going the res of the gang has no choice but to follow. Now, having said that, I think many of the projects already in the market will eventually die a natural death and it has nothing to do with Bitcoin it is because they are losing the interest of the market and one big reason is that these project got no traction at all and no real-world uses. Let's hope for the best that come 2019 the market can be better for the whole industry.

Its a domino effect if Bitcoin price starts to rise altcoins will rise too.  Bitcoin is technically the base price of most altcoins, so every price action always affects alcoins. In my opinion altcoins will not die easily specially those have purpose some might die due to failure to deliver their products or poor development but I'm very optimistic about my holdings these may not reward today or tommorow but always patience is key.

I believe that if bitcoin ETF gets approved, it will pave the way for more ETFs involving many other altcoins and should cause a big bull wave in the entire sector. Some bad shitcoins have died in the past and will do in future but the good ones should do well.

Altcoin will benefit greatly if the ETF accepts Bitcoin. I am sure 70% of altcoin will die and the remaining 30% can survive and survive in this market and now what is needed is to choose good projects to invest because if there is ETF involvement many investors around the world will enter the market and Bitcoin prices may rise by more than $ 100,000

I think bitcoin will always dominate the market and in recent times alt has worsened. a lot of fear and panic that happens, but that's a volatility and we must understand it in order to avoid loss.

No Altcoins is dying dude. It's all manipulation by the big players and institutional investors. They want your Altcoins cheap. Don't fall for their gimmicks. Another bull run is inevitable. Very well said about those projects that are losing interest from the community. People will keep on looking for the best projects that will catch their interest but in the end, they'll invest to bitcoin. While some projects will survive but it's unlike before their ICO periods where they have a lot of investors and managed to reach their soft/hard caps. The only strategy that these projects can do is to make such news for their project to gain more popularity and investors.

There is a law in crypto. Firstly BTC is taking power from alts and usdt, then it is mooning, after that when btc is keeping on some level for some time, altcoins are getting stronger and even some of them mooning better than btc. So, I am waiting for the btc pump first.

Guys come on! Why are talking about most of the altcoins dying? Yes I agree, there are far too much altcoins and I guess 60% of them will fail to deliver someday but keep in mind...most of the ICOs got paid in Ether by their investors. And I think we all agree that Ethereum will raise as well as Bitcoin will rise . So in the end of the day those ICOs will have more liquidity only beacuse their Ether they got is now more worth! The only reason why an altcoin will die is because it has no real use case, has stronger competitors etc. But a good project will never ever die or fail due to the Bitcoin ETF. Its up to everyone to decide to sell his altcoins and go into Bitcoin just because he is asuming Bitcoin to rise faster then his altcoins. But if someone was convinced by his alts he will return to them after the bitcoin has increased. I hope for those that they willl aftwerwards get less of their altcoins then before because those who HOLD should be awarded not the other ones!

Altcoins suffer from their not high capitalization, that's what happens. If the market stabilizes, everything will return to normal.Except for projects that do not have anything.

And if that will be ignored by SEC and there was possibility for bitcoin to get the next bottom line. I will not put a lot of hope to the bitcoin ETF because we have known that SEC has a very strict rules to keep their investors secure from the any scam attempt. For me i still believe if SEC will still see bitcoin as a very high risk investment.

Bitcoin is a great influence on altcoin because only Bitcoin has a 5% profit margin. All altcoin will increase dramatically and may reach 100% in one day. I think altcoin will never die because investors love to invest in Cryptocurrency and in the future this will be a new investment trend for everyone.

I think that at the end of this year there will be no very high growth in bitcoin prices. Investors will be afraid of a repeat of the events of last year and if bitcoin will approach the cost of $ 20,000, this will be a psychological barrier for investors. It's hard to say how bitcoin will behave in this situation, but I think that with the beginning of the market growth, when the altcoyins will rise, people will invest a significant part of the investments in altcoyins.

we have too many altcoin and i will give my agreement to reduce it except only most useful altcoin and supported by strong community. ethereum impact will give many new altcoin borned even with similar vision. and we cant deny it caused of some scam ico which utilize the ease of making new coin.

Bitcoin regained its half of 100% market dominance altcoins die because they have low volumes from small exchanges, they are just pump and dump grounds from greedy traders, weak support from its little community or because it is a scam, still some major altcoins bleed from the recent decreases so be careful to some unknown altcoins, most of the portfolio is diversified to the best and quality crypto's.

Not necessarily, I have my doubts this is going to happen in this case, and the reason for that has to do with the reason of why the price of bitcoin is going to go up, if the price goes up because of the approval of the ETF then only bitcoin will go up since institutional money will begin to enter bitcoin and in no other coin, do you think those investors are interested to invest in the 300 coin in the rank of coinmarketcap? Of course not, they are interested in bitcoin and at best in a few other selected coins.
