The fiat value of bitcoin doesn't really matter when trading alts in the current market. Always comparing vs fiat was one of the mistakes I made when first getting into this. Trade alts to increase your bitcoin holdings, because bitcoin will always, eventually, return to its ATH (if not higher) if you can wait a few weeks, or months at most. So you can use bitcoin's ATH to calculate the medium-term value of your holdings when you need an emotional boost.

If I have to make such a choice I would better pick altcoin. I do not see any sense in buying fiat if you are going to trade. You will still need the money for it.

Good remark about Daytraders and holders. Well BTC is really good thing and if you have it don't sell anyway. If you have fiat money and want to buy some altcoins, sure why not. But if you're not trader don't sell BTC and buy altcoins. I don't think that this is good decision to sell BTC anyway.
Don't forget that crypto is very manipulated market and trading here is very hard, especially for newbie.

I would choose to the other side and that is selling altcoins to buy bitcoin,or use fiats to buy bitcoins in this dip...i have sold my two altcoins already and planning to sell another one to buy bitcoin again.i believe that this is the buying time because the end year is coming and i guess that when the BER months come and then the prices will go up again

that is the good move it is better to put your money in crypto investment specially if you will put your investment to bitcoin because if you sell it already and convert it to fiat then you will not be able to stake your money once you sell it the value is fixed unlike when you put in investment there are lots of chance to have a good value.

If you decide not to hold the BTC and sell to invest in other areas should choose to convert to fiat. That is the best and safest way for you, can not choose atlcoin because altcoin is now quite risky.
