I call bitcoin as an asset. But day by day people are involving in digital market as the world is becoming digitalized. I also think it is not really like an investment I would rather call it as future deposit. Many people thinks different ways and I think everyone is right by their own thoughts.

I think Bitcoin is an investment in its sense. Why peope want to be paid in bitcoin? Why people want to earn bitcoin? Why people buy bitcoin? The answer is: Bitcoin changes its price. Last year it reached $19,000 but today only $8,000. Now imagine let us you get paid with bitcoin. Of course you may hold your bitcoin and wait for its value to increase before selling them. That is investment.

Even though initially bitcoin was created as digital currency which can be used world wide now most of the people consider this as a good investment option as this bitcoins has many early investors to be millionaires and billionaires only by investing in the early stages of bitcoin as initially the price of bitcoin was less than a dollar now the current price is more than $ 8000 USD more over previous year the price of bitcoins has came up to $ 19300 USD which was the highest record in the history of bitcoins and other crypto currencies. After the fall in the crypto currency market now it has started to recover and more chances for the prices to rise above $ 20000 USD soon so in such a situation this bitcoins are considered as a good investment option rather than as a digital currency.

Because some are millionaires by now (and there are not a lot) it doesn't mean Bitcoin should be considered as an investment, no matter the speculation you bring up. Bitcoin is what the community does with it. There are people who don't care to see Bitcoin dying as long as they can make money until the last day. And there are some who prefer to see for example the Bitcoin value at $1 but massively used all over the world by all the economic classes.

Bitcoin can be called investment because investment is the purchase of goods that are not consumed today but are used in the future to create wealth, and bitcoin falls in this categories.

The SEC, regulators and G20 summit might be after bitcoin by creating the KYC/AML rules and regulations because bitcoin was called an investment which I believe not to be rue base on the reason why the Chinese government ban bitcoin in the year 2016. How ever, I believe they are against bitcoin cause the think it could ruin their national currency.

Bitcoin was used as a digital currency since from the start. But this become a failure because there's a problem regarding on mass adoption and government acceptance due to its features. But still bitcoin had achieved an increasing value when some other countries are starting to use it as a mode of payment for commodities, services and some converted it to fiats. Due to its high market value, bitcoin was already considered as an investment and asset. They used as an investment because bitcoin has a huge increase of value every year. Big investors come and buy a lot of bitcoins in the market for the profit they can get from it. Bitcoin with its features made itself as an investment nowadays. And we have nothing to do when crypto community already call bitcoin as an investment.
Yeah well even though it was used quite widely as a currency at the beginning, most of it was through the silk road, as mentioned above. This unfortunately gave it a bad image and that's why there has been no mass adoption. Lawyers aren't too keen on it because of the potential darkside it has. Accountants don't see it as tangible so are a bit wary to call it an asset. Common people believe it could disappear into thin air at any given moment because of the sensationalized press coverage of a few minor hacks. Therefore the people who are using it widely are more in it for investment purposes, perhaps out of greed, perhaps out of desire to support the blockchain concept, perhaps out of a desire to stick it to the man

Well as we all know that bitcoin is an investment and we can't imagine that we can stop calling it as an investment.most of the people are interested in bitcoin because it can give them profit they rarely see bitcoin as a currency and I don't really agree to see buying crypto as a gambling.Day by day bitcoin is changing by big hands, they are manipulating us and we keep calling the moon, very soon blah blah.

Bitcoin as of today functions more as an investment than as a currency. Majority of hodlers don't plan on purchasing goods or paying for services using Bitcoin, so don't expect me to stop calling bitcoin what it is 'an investment'.

Can you stop calling Bitcoin an investment?
This damages the cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was not created to become an investment. Before Bitcoin, there were some digital currencies years back, the goal was always to be able to create a (digital) currency free from central banks and governments. Cypherpunks and other anarcho-capitalists are at the origin of this idea, perhaps 20 or 30 years ago. None were intended to make an investment to be rich quickly. You won't find in the white paper "investing" mentioned, you won't find any post from Satoshi mentioning it
Considering Bitcoin as an investment, this is the reason why we have more and more regulations, G20 summits and others craps, KYC, etc... The word "Crypto-assets" didn't exist before, why did they create it? Because you even consider it an investment, then why shouldn't they? Bitcoin could be a lot more accepted and used by now. Why should a merchant agree to be paid in Bitcoin? He wants money, not a piece of your investment.
You're not even investing, you are just gambling with money. Go to the altcoins board, you will surely find plenty of ICOs where you can say you invested in. I have something for you, ICOs used to raise money are no different than "Crowdfunding". If you want to invest then there are a lot of Crowdfunding websites where you can invest in real startups with fewer risks, (you won't find any project using photos from Pixabay...)
Why don't we see cryptographers anymore? Guess the reasons
Ultimately it doesn't matter what bitcoin was created for, what matters is how people utilize it.

I completely agree with you, but after the sudden rise of Bitcoin's price in the market, has been known as one of profitable high risk, high reward investment in the internet and that people started calling it as an asset. Since then, all this medias has had a bad image for Bitcoin calling it a bubble and a scam which in fact it is not a business or an asset to invest to begin with. I think people will continue to see this as an investment because investors are giving them hope and an image.
How people stop calling bitcoin as an asset when they gain profit from it as they keep on their wallet and the price increasing. Even it is being created to be used for payment system improvement in online, people believe that with the small volume it can produce huge earning. Asset can be lose or grow depends on how you handle it, but some asset do not lose value, it can be stable but never goes down, and increase for the time being unlike bitcoin that is very volatile.

I absolutely agree in this statement! bitcoin is not an investment. as this cryptocurrency created, bitcoin is not made for what sp called invest. the main purpose why the bitcoin is created is to fast the negotiations and transactions in the online world so they used it as online money. until now it is the main purpose.but the people find a way to earn in this so that it is happened

I agree with your sentiments. I’d also like to see bitcoin become what it was designed to be –and that is to be a legit, virtual currency. Although don’t get me wrong. I’m glad to see people finding success in their investments. But for bitcoin to truly become mainstream, we have to use it like money. We are at a digital age right now. We might as well go high-tech all the way, right?

do not be narrow minded, if bitcoin is only used as a means of payment then it will be as popular as this? which makes people interested in bitcoin is the high volatile. although it is very risky but many people are able to receive it because it has good prospects in the future.

The limited supply and the distribution process leads to the analogy of gold. It's not hard to also see the similarity of something that was once a universally used as currency also being considered an asset and therefore an investment. While I don't disagree with what you say I think it is inevitable and unavoidable that many people will view Bitcoin as digital gold and an investment.
yes true, bitcoin is like digital gold, everyone can pay with gold and everyone can invest with gold, who does not want gold? is gold only for payment? I do not think so! Bitcoin can be mined, gold can be mined, so I think both have a lot of similarity and one of them as payment and investment is not just as a payment

Well people have different opinion and the way they see things as they really are, some see it as way of getting rich by involving in it through many different ways like joining in bounty and the likes, others buy bitcoin as form of investment where they can profit and also not to mention that it is a digital currency where they can use in any transaction whenever, wherever they are.
