When you only buy Bitcoin and keep it in wallet, it's a waste of time and money. When Bitcoin is used to invest in Altcoin, it is reasonable and you will have more money to buy Bitcoin and increase Bitcoin value than original.
Yeah trading is much better than just holding coins. Cause by this we can increase the amount of our coins that we are holding. But for this we must need to be careful. Not certainly, it's still depends on a trader and the market situation. For example if the market is bullish, then the best thing to do is to do nothing but to hold until it reaches its resistance. There's no guarantee to increase the amount of someone's coins in trading; it's somehoe difficult to deal with because many aspects are affecting it. Beside a lot of aspect, there is a lot of thing to research when someone want to do trading. But it is fun when we analyze especially when we trade in high volume coin that still pumped. Our adrenaline can pumped too and it is what make any reason why we should do trade any altcoin other than bitcoin like in title of thread. |

Not exactly correct. If you are accepting some bullshit propaganda of some shitcoin then you will also think in the same manner. But the truth is that only bitcoin is what people need to hodl. Rest all are shitcoins. If you want to make money then bitcoin itself is worth selling and buying back. But this needs trading skills and for newbies it might seen tough and they may have the opinion that trading bitcoin wont give them anything much so they should trade altcoins - absolutely wrong concept. It might seem to you very strange, but the reality is the following: some guys, who start to deal with Bitcoin have never heard about altcoins. Therefore, they lose a lot of chances to earn more.
Again the same thing. Altcoins are there and they cane be worth trading but the maximum safety to say is with bitcoin. Every altcoins is good and I know every coin can be use for trading but we will have to use the good and promising one, we can see in market now a day there are number of coin, but still no one has the ability to overcome the value of bitcoin, for me bitcoin is the number one coin that’s why, trade is only safe with bitcoin none other than bitcoin. |

So what coins do you trade? Trading coins other than bitcoin might give us good results once or twice but the question is, can trading with such coins give us repeated opportunities to get good profits? From my own view, there are some coins which are pumped once or twice and then the price drops deeply and never rises significantly again. While with bitcoin where fluctuations have been tested, the opportunity to collect profits, although not so large, does exist. Bitcoin prices can fluctuate in a good range almost every day. |

ETH and Bitcoin both are very famous and popular coin, big investors always choose these type of coins, and in 2017 ETH break the record, but now we have come in this stage where all coins are down, including ETH and bitcoin. But in my eye, bitcoin is best for all the time, so it doesn't matter it is day trading or holding for a long time. Day trading is an optional choice to do if we had a holdings which is a good asset. Although btc and eth was a trusted coins for a long time, we still have more chance to earn higher profit from other crypto coins. Seeking a good alternative for day trading is a very wise idea these days, but we have to be careful in doing it because not all coin platforms is good to trade. Sometimes you're going to fall after buying thus you thought nice, and in the long run frustrates you when price goes down drastically in the market exchanges. |

People still will not forget that while Bitcoin x20, altcoins made people x100 or even x1000 in the same period of time. Alts are easier to pump, far, far easier,,, and people liked that a lot about them. Alts were also easier to buy (with Bitcoin) unlike BTC which you have to buy with fiat. So if you already have BTC, you can make all kinds of alt trades without putting in more money of your own. |

It all channels down to the volume at a specific time. Some of the alt coins at some point in time have considerable volume and factors moving the market which mskes them an option to consider when day trading.

As long as we are not making a mistake, we could make a bigger profit from the altcoin because we know that altcoin has a big chance to get increase first and then Bitcoin. But when bitcoin increase, then you can sell your bitcoin from selling altcoin before so you will have a lot of money in the end. The reason to make day trade is various for each people but one thing that we should know that we want to collect more and more bitcoin so we could sell the bitcoin at the highest price. |

I think the answer to your question is rather subjective. Day trading might work for savvy traders who really take time to do their research before investing; investing in alts which do not have the same a secured platform compared to bitcoin is definitely much riskier due to its volatility. For some or possibly most people, however, they always find ways to mitigate the risks by investing long term with the more stable bitcoin. The minute they feel the market gets shaky, they can always pull out their investments with a relatively smaller loss and invest again during a significant dip.

Personally I'm doing day trade for who has high volume transaction and great news about it.
But both of trading like stock and crypto has high risk on them so you should done it with extra careful.
I'm better trade crypto for long term rather than short term because I've experience it myself

Obviously some alts can have significantly bigger gains than bitcoin when it comes to long term and bull runs, the last bull run from 6k to 10k for example, sure bitcoin was strong, almost a 2x but some of the top alt coins did more than a 2x even 3x. However that's only long term.
Short term I don't see any reason to trade anything other than bitcoin, especially knowing how little volume some of the other coins have, even top 10 alt coins, for example stellar only has 33m volume. So my question is, what's the point of trading stellar, for example, instead of bitcoin? You know that even if you are a whale and trade a lot, you wont be moving the market as much, if you have 1m and you trade stellar, that's already huge and we all know the 33m volume is probably not even real, a lot of it from bots trading.
It's also much easier to follow bitcoin because, well, the whole market follows bitcoin. Bitcoin dictates where the market goes.
You are absolutely right, the bitcoin is what dictates the market. All Altcoins depend on Bitcoin, either directly or indirectly, this is due to the number of operations that are generated every day. Stellar represents an altcoin that also depends a lot on the Bitcoin market, and it is logical, because whenever there is a price fall, Stellar goes down, like all altcoins, so it is very difficult for an altcoin to have a life of its own without relying on bitcoin . Maybe trading altcoins aren't that good for whales. But regular traders aren't trading millions daily. The good thing on altcoins as mentioned have higher volatility so a very good trader gains better than trading using altcoins.

Well this is your own choice and that you are trading with so many coins and some of them are bitcoin but for me it is not good and actually there is no reason for me to trade with any other coin, bitcoin is the best choice for now, we can gain huge profit from it, I feel safe while trading with bitcoin is never think about changing my coin. |

Why don't you try ETh or BNB? There's a lot of coins spiking up everwhere and you just need to take a closer look at every each of them. They are not just recovering but the team behind these projects are also releasing good progress of their product at the same time to increase the price a bit more.
