Its simple if everyone concentrate on the bitcoin then chances of making profits from alts will get easier so people moved from bitcoin to alts so they were doing altcoin trding as well for now.Trading bitcoin for profits then what can be the reason for altcoin day trading,same right.

to be able to make the price movement of bitcoin and can make the price of bitcoin again skyrocket again it is not as easy and not as simple as you think, bitcoin must have good news and there must be a good development so that the whales can be affected by rising bitcoin prices. |

to be able to make the price movement of bitcoin and can make the price of bitcoin again skyrocket again it is not as easy and not as simple as you think, bitcoin must have good news and there must be a good development so that the whales can be affected by rising bitcoin prices. More investors will just be focusing into bitcoin cause they'll know that Bitcoin will only give assurance for them compared into altcoins. But of course, some altcoins will considered to be a good coins to trade also, only we need to be selective and choose the right coins cause mostly commonly the reason of losing are due to the wrong choose of coin. |

In applying day trade we need to consider something, and the major things we need to look or check for is the volume of course. Its very hard to make trade in the coins we have if they have a small volume in the actual trade. Then, the coins must be potential and has a good plan in the future too. Also, to buy coin that belongs to the top coins at the market is an advantage.

I agree that all coins are following bitcoin and its safer to trade bitcoin but the rising price of bitcoin is limited, not like alt coin that can easily gives 10% profit in short time, and for bitcoin to rise 10% it will be extremely difficult, to make profit in short term it's easier to trade alt coin and because some of the low transaction volume there is a chance the alt coin can be pump by some whale

Excatly dude. You get a difference of just around a few hundred at best with btc's daily movement so profit would be scarce if you have less than 1 btc to trade with. Compared to other alts that could swing 10 to 20 percent in 24 hours. So if you're day trading, btc wouldn't really be one of your strategic choices. |

The low price top cryptocurrencies are more profitable to trade with. If you are worried about low volume coins you could choose those with solid projects and with the potential to grow. Bitcoin is safer to trade with and also great for longterm trading.

If you have an unlimited time resource, a day trade with other coins makes sens. But I'd recommend to do it in bitcoin pairs.

If you are trying to say that the price of bitcoin is so high that its beyond your reach and I can understand and I do sympathize for you. Still you should know that you can buy in smaller fractions of bitcoin and prepare your funds that you are willing to risk in that fashion. However if you are feeling good trading an altcoin because they are lower priced and easier to get into and then easily trad-able and profitable by daily swings in price then more power to you.  |

certainly there is because we don't always trade bitcoin continuously, but we will definitely also look for other trading coins such as altcoin, because the altcoin is great to trade when the price of bitcoin rises or falls
Most altcoins even profit traders this period more than Bitcoin because they market must fluctuate several times a day and that is where many altcoins traders get there profit from either true single trade or scalping and hardly will you see bitcoin fluctuate that much in a day. All the above, one funny thing about trading that a lot of good traders even makes money more on these shitcoins, so like you said, altcoins are great to trade. |

Trade altcoin will be promising higher profit, we can see alot of altcoin already going up to 100% -400% from the bottom but Bitcoin still stay in the bottom, in 2017 alot of altcoin the price was increase up to 50X to 100x in that year and this return is bigger than profit from BTC.
I think that you can make some money in the coin whose market price fluctuates regularly and Altcoins look like are the coins having that property. Bitcoin tale time to gain value and when it comes to quick money, better choose altcoin. Most preferably ETH or Litecoin. But short term profits are short and one should also focus on the long term benefits which always tend to be bigger. |

My reason because i only have a small capital, then better to trade an Altenative Currency. Bitcoin and other major coin already make a high roi from their ICO. so using Alt for trading was the best option for me.

Personally, I trade other coins besides bitcoin. The reason you yourself voiced. This is what altcoins can do a lot more x's than bitcoin. For those who do not have a large amount money it will be a good solution.

Just because an altcoin looks interesting does not mean its worth putting your money in. Where does the interest come from? Take every whitepaper and roadmap prepared with a large punch of salt (LOL). Not only are they always misleading into investors trusting them but they will change them from time to time for their own benefit or delay releases just for the sake of it. If interest is coming from the price pump be very careful what coin you are jumping into because transient pump and dump are normally happening in every coin and they might wash you down during the dump. |

Diversifying your trade is your only chance to survive the falling market if you look at it diligently i think and your style of trading actually matters if you have adequate knowledge in the coin then is normal to make your trade so trading any coin is determining its value either short term or long term

I have traded many altcoins so far and I can tell you it is easier to manipulate and control the altcoins with little amount of capital. I have made over a thousand dollars in the past 3 weeks just from a single coin because I knew what the range for that coin was and I just bought from bottom I can and sold from highest I can and it moved between those numbers 4 or 5 times already.
You can't really do that with bitcoin, I mean you can try and there are certainly people who have done it already but I do not think that is easy, it requires a lot of capital and a lot of power to pull off, however on altcoins it is quite easy to achieve. That's why people trade altcoins daily, because they can, everyone finds a corner of the market they feel comfortable with and play there.

I really depend on what you are looking for. If you are looking for profit purely in cryptocurrency, you could also think about ethereum in this regard. Bitcoin is often slow and day trading in Bitcoin could not be very profitable. I think that Bitcoin is more profitable in long term hodl and which in other words mean long term trading in Bitcoin is more profitable than day trading in bitcoins and since you are looking for profits, better keep an eye on the traditional market opportunities that are often very profitable. |
