If you are holding it in an exchange then you could tell it to them ,
But if you are holding it on your own wallet like an online wallet then contact the developer but if it is on a cold storage or an offline wallet ,
Then there is nothing that you could do .

No one can help if you your bitcoin got hacked as you cannot know who the person behind the hacked wallet address. Leaving bitcoins in exchange is the worst decision, because if exchange get hacked all your funds can get hacked and exchange will do nothing. That is why it is always recommended to store your bitcoins in desktop wallet which is more safe.

There is no way to complain about the theft happen in the crypro industry because it is distributed ledger and there is no authority like we have in banks for these kind of acts in real life.
So you should be very secure about your wallet and always trade on well known exchanges so if something wrong happen on exchange than they should listen your issue and try to resolve it.

This bitcoin theme scares me most. There are no protective means yet for your bitcoins and no guarantee that you can get your stolen crypto back((

There's no place or office you will report your stolen funds. This is one of the reasons why it is advisable a user moves funds to their respective wallet portfolio after any transaction to avoid unnecessary hitch with might come from the exchange or maybe due to some phishing site you might have visited or maybe your password is weak enough for hackers to penetrate.

There is no way you could get back your btc as the wallet is anonymous , that is why you need to be very careful with your private key and passphrase cause they are the key to your wallet and if compromise then your funds are gone ,

Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.
Since your coins were lost when they were in the possession of an exchange then you need to complain to them and try to clarify how this happened, if this was a mistake on their part then they should give you your money back but I will not be very hopeful of that happening since some exchanges have a terrible reputation when it comes to dealing with issues like that, however if you were the one at fault then you are never going to see your money again.

This is one of the reasons why many members in the forum advice to never leave your coins in an exchange, you must be the only one holding your coins at all times so as soon as you exchange your coins in an exchange then you need get your coins out of it as soon as you can.

Yes, you are unlikely to get your bitcoin back. Therefore, the first thing you need to pay attention to the security of the wallet that you use. It is better to connect all the levels of security that you offer, and of course the most to ensure that your private address does not fall into the eyes of criminals.

I think if you lose your coin in your exchange account, the exchange should take responsibility for it and refund you but in the case you lose funds from your crypto wallet, I don't think there's anything that can be done to reverse transaction once it has been confirmed.

since bitcoin is anti state, there is no real banking funded police that is really interested helping you except if they are naive, which is possible

If someone hacked your account on the exchange and your wallet then it is your fault, you are your responsible for your security, I don't think anyone can help you with this, they can help you in exchange by giving you the IP or the location of the hacker and about wallet, there is no authority to complain to.

Very sorry buddy but as far as I know to my knowledge it very difficult and not possible to retrieve any coin stolen from your wallet. You should always be security conscious and be the watchman of your own account because there are a lot of fraudsters and hackers out there. Be vigilant.

so far I have never found a solution to a problem like this, but if this really happens to you maybe you can complain to CIE, because in my opinion it is the only institution that can help the problem of BTC theft.

Use offline wallets people, when you are your own bank, a little bit of responsibility is required on your part.

For "small change" amounts, sure keep it in your phone or pc, but if you are storing large sums, send them to an offline wallet.

That is, boot a live iso; create a wallet with electrum or whatever you like, write down those seed words! print the addresses, turn off the pc.
There, you have an offline wallet, anything you send to those addresses are safe.

Occasionally, rarely, when you want to move those funds: Boot the live iso again, install electrum or whatever you used again, write the seed words back, do the transaction, turn off the pc.

That's how its done. No fancy usb thingies required, just pen and paper, and backup that too manually and keep them in two physically separate places.

Also remember, online wallets, are always at risk. Be it exchanges, casinos or anywhere if your bitcoins are out of your hands; you are letting a third party be your bank...

Once stolen, your chances of recovering the funds are pretty low. You could try follow transactions or let your authorities do it if your country is crypto aware. If the funds hit an exchange, there is a chance you can get them frozen, but you would need to react very quickly.

I think if your Bitcoin is stolen by a Hacker it can't make you recover your Bitcoin, because the Crypto world is not responsible, so we must always be vigilant and always use extra security to our account. So that our account is safe.

even I dare to guarantee that the exchange site will not replace all your losses, they will blame you for not securing your account properly, in cryptocurrency you are responsible for yourself, there is nothing you can do when your assets are stolen dude..

Does your exchange account has been hacked ? If you used exchange account, you should protect your account from any kind of phishing site.
Maybe you visited the phishing site and input your login and password there and then your account has been compromised.
I think you can reach the exchange support, if the hacker's withdrawal still pending, maybe you can get your btc back.

I think your account has been hacked and the hacker just transferred the bitcoin to his address, but how did you hacked so easily? I guess you have visited a phishing website and click some links that hacker take advantage and get your details on your account. Moreover i think that you don't have 2fa enabled as this will add more security before you can login to your account. Best thing you can do is learn from your mistakes, be more careful and move on.

This is one disadvantage of bitcoin which as of the moment we cant do anything about this problem bitcoin transaction is irreversible and every bitcoin that was stolen on your wallet and successfully transferred into someones wallet will never be recovered unless returned by the owner of the receiving wallet.
