Hi Friends, actually one of my BTC address from Zebpay account having almost 0.01550 BTC has been hacked and the amount has been stolen just few days ago. The amount was not quite big for me, but i really fear about the security of holding the BTC in exchanges and now even in wallets.

I Just want to know is there any ways i can get back my BTC back to my account and also is there any website or authority who can help me out in getting back my stolen BTC, let me know about it. Also let me know what safety measurement should i take while holding my BTC in Exchanges. Thanks in advance.
While the cryptocurrency will not be legalized in most states, including in your state, it is very difficult to protect your rights associated with cryptocurrency. Only the recognition of the official status of a cryptocurrency gives the opportunity to appeal to various law enforcement agencies for protection. In this regard, all our activities with cryptocurrency and the risk of losing the funds invested in it lies entirely on ourselves.

This is one disadvantage of bitcoin which as of the moment we cant do anything about this problem bitcoin transaction is irreversible and every bitcoin that was stolen on your wallet and successfully transferred into someones wallet will never be recovered unless returned by the owner of the receiving wallet.
Yes, a thief will not return what he has earned, so it is not possible for a stolen bitcoin to be returned or recovered and it will disappear. So with this weakness a bitcoin holder must be very aware of their security and privacy so as not to harm themselves by losing their bitcoin.

There is nothing that you can do in this situation. I believe that this is the most dangerous think about the bitcoin because there is no turning back when you lost your passes or if you got hacked your assets would göne. You can't complain to somewhere because there are no place for your claim.

Dude, get yourself a hardware wallet. Forget about online wallets, they can be easily hacked since they are located in open Internet space. At the very least, you can create an account at some exchange that offers cold storage for crypto funds. But if I were you I would definitely purchase a hardware wallet 'cause it's the safest device at the present. Actually, a paper wallet will be ok too. Well, any kind of offline storage is more secure than the online one.

You should contact the police for this one, but it is hard to know who hacked or stole your bitcoin.
It is always the number one rule in cryptocurrency that your account must be protected and never share private keys nor password to anyone.

maybe it's one of the shortcomings or weaknesses in investing with crypto currencies and I think investors already understand that, because there is no institution or legal force that can protect our assets in investment with crypto currencies

You should take care of your money because it is yours that is the main reason of decentralization.Which maybe increase the number of scammer but increasing number of victims just based on how well knowledge they are about crypto currencies.

Of course, this is a terribly unpleasant situation. I have never faced this, because I think it is very important to properly store bitcoin and never trust anyone with your keys, do not put them on the Internet. It's simple, but it will really secure your bitcoins. Be careful!

Safe storage is a very important aspect of investing. I think that every novice investor should first of all study the storage of bitcoin. Hackers are very smart guys and they are finding new ways to hack wallets, so be very vigilant!

I don't think there is someone who can help recover it.
If you account is hacked probably you are been careless with your wallet address and the hackers gained access into it. If it is only one time that got stolen, one may report to the project admin if something can be done. But for all token to be missing. Better restart without delay.

Since from the start i accept virtual cryptocurrency i never heard anybody recover their coins if the account going to hack from the excahnge.

One thing we need to always remember choose secure exchnage or safety stroge if you want to hold your coin in long term to avoid this kind of scenario and put strong private keys.

You don't own Bitcoin on exchange addresses. Its the account you own. So to clarify: did funds disappear from your exchange account?

If you lose funds from your Bitcoin address, nobody can help you. Be your own bank works both ways.

Indeed. There is no obligation of lose funds from your Bitcoin address where your coins store. Its your responsibility to monitor it everyday and to keep it safe. You must know how to used it and how you will not recover it once it will lose. Always be secured in your wallet do not trust someone yo handle your account.

I don't know how you could recover your bitcoins but I'm sure that you can take extra care to prevent what has happened from not repeating itself. I think that the way to remove any existing coins that you may not use immediately is to put it in a cold wallet. I am sure you do know what I mean. Better luck next time and all the best in the future endeavours.

If someone hacked your account on the exchange and your wallet then it is your fault, you are your responsible for your security, I don't think anyone can help you with this, they can help you in exchange by giving you the IP or the location of the hacker and about wallet, there is no authority to complain to.
That is not always true, if your account in an exchange is hacked and you lose your money and it is your responsibility for not securing your account in the way that you should do it then it is true that you are responsible and the exchange doesn't have to give you your money back, but if the reason of why you lost your money is because the exchange lacked enough security and they were the ones responsible for losing those coins then they should give you your money back.

But as we know exchanges are very powerful entities and they are not going to give up money that easily so even if the second scenario was the one that was correct it will still be very difficult to get your money back because the exchange will be reluctant to pay you.

Its true, we handling the security on our wallet. Its our own responsibility and we can not recover our coin if hacked by hackers. Thats why we should store our coin in our wallet and not share the private key to anybody because there is no way to recover our coin if stolen by hacker

Yes that is true, because the world of Cryptocurrency does not have an institution that regulates it, so that all losses are borne by the user. So we really need to be careful when saving Bitcoin, we have to use a personal wallet that is very safe as you say.

I think you can complain to the authorities like police since stealing something which is not your's is a fraud and you cab sue him/her.
Another thing you can also complain for tge support services of the electronic wallet that your btc was held.
