To put the DDoS debate to bed. Mindfox is right... The issue is with the micro shares being submitted during mining that is crashing the pools. Not the pools being DDoS'd. Its loading the servers and causing process pileups causing certain services to come to a screeching halt while database entries are sorted and submitted.
Thats why it is getting Ddosed now, please dont come and talk about stuff that you have 0 idea about. And what makes you think I dont know what Im talking about? What pool is being DDoS'd right now? Because it is clearly ddos its been over 4 g/hash for many hours before without problems and its been ddos everytime, and then you come here and claim it is not while having no idea why it went down. Cryptopool got ddosed but is back up.

Cryptopool got ddosed but is back up. Ok let me put this more clearly. As the ADMIN on ZEUSPOOL... the share transaction submissions to the database have been the issue from the start. That's not to say that DDoS is not possible or that it hasn't happened to any of the pools. But that is the main issue with most of the pools. I know this first hand because I have been sorting it for over 24 hours now.

With such a low N Factor, hash rates are so high, wouldn't it make sense to start the vardiff on the pool at something like 512? I connected and started at 16

I'm not certain, but you might need to adjust the share value on the pool - everyone's stats show as 0 shares submitted. Either that, or it's not all caught up?

Should be good to go now. Working on the blocks with missing shares. mining is back to normal. Shares are counting and I will get the other blocks resolved. Sorry for the hiccup

Yeah, just noticed THOR on cryptorush. No sell orders. Either they just added it or everyone is so optimistic about this coin that noone wants to sell their coins

what speed should I have with 290X? gpu miner is yac miner, but I have problems with this type of coins. most of times I get HW errors and not accept any shares, sometimes the miner doesn't work. I was able to run with this command: thorcoinminer -o stratum+tcp://stratum.thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net:3342 -u USER -p PASS --scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1393167677 -I 15 no HW errors for now, speed about 350 Kh/s but again miner can not accept any shares and the pc is very unstable, some times all freeze for few seconds. What should I do? Any help pls, thx.

I'm using YACMiner 3.4.2 to mine it, and getting 1.05 MH/sec on each of my R7 250's. Command looks something like this yacminer --scrypt --worksize 256 -g 4 --lookup-gap 1 --buffer-size 150 -X 1024 --gpu-engine 1200 --gpu-memclock 1100 -o stratum+tcp://thor.zeuspool.com:3336 -u Thirtybird.R7250 -p x --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1393167677
The settings on that card weren't terribly important - it maxed out the GPU with pretty much anything I threw at it.

I tried with YACMiner 3.4.2 and these settings but cmd window is black, miner doesn't work and after 1 min Windows freeze and only solution is to restart the pc. maybe powercolor r9 290x can not mine yac algo, I don't know where the problem is.

Run it with the -T option to see what it's doing without the interface getting in the way.

Withdrawal fees at Scifi-ex.com has been reduced to 10 THOR.
This is quite small considering that currently each block returns 200k.
Happy trading!
