Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I put up 1.2 MH/s on solo mining... I don't think it's a good idea to have ALL the power into 1 pool...

maybe consider doing the same to even out the hashing power.

The 10 min target time seems to be a real difficulty for things.  Maybe lowering the time and cutting the reward down more?

I think this could be a nice improvement... 10 minutes is a loooong time and in real life scenario, who wants to wait 10 minutes for a confirmation!

30 seconds to 60 seconds blocks are the best IMHO.

Please help us mine @ http://fair.poolest.com

Without miners, this coin isn't going anywhere. We need your hash!!!!!!!

We've been stuck on the past block for 25 minutes.

If you believe in this coin, then you have no reason not to mine, even for 10 minutes.

I'm serious. PLEASE MINE.

Thanks!

p.s. We're all doing this for free to secure the network. I can decide to stop whenever I want and the coin will fail badly.
Donations are appreciated (mined 2mh/s for 20 hours already for free)

fSN9kpU3jwdJQDEZeaKLgZpNX8wsBsX6FZ

Up to now, I didn't get a SINGLE donation even if I'm doing pretty much all the mining job with 2 other guys. Sad

Hey,
We really appreciate your work y3804,
And you will get a donation as soon as we finish the distribution,You're doing great work for the community.
We are almost in the Top Ten in CryptoRush, thanks everyone for the good work.
We will not go up on any exchange before ALL the coins have been sent out.

Thank you,
Faircoin Team

Only have 24 Khs available (laptop GPU Tongue)  but it's all in Poolest, 100% donation
Can't do better :-(

I really want my 3000 FAC to be worth something! Don't you all want the same?!
If mining is required, why aren't all the 49750 mining??

I agree 100% on this Kimoto and 30-90 sec blocks, are the only way to go, maybe up to the reward to the trans fees, should also do it

we don't need any more hash power
you actually start lowering it
difficulty will adjust to any difficulty as long as it drops over time and not suddenly like when we had that pool of ~200MH/s suddenly disappear

I agree... it's not more hashing power to that pool that we need but more people mining... If the pool fails or disappears, we get stuck at high diff for a while... but if we have lots of even small miners, we will get the chain moving just fine and it'll be more secure.

I wont support the pool not because I don't appreciate what NatureTM did for us... but because of what I just said... not wise to have a single point of failure.

People, fire up your wallet (CPU miner) and the more we have, the better.  If you can spare a GPU to solo mine, fine but please understand that we don't need more miners on a single pool but more single miners.

I'm gonna make this in more detail:

Given any fixed hash power (1 cpu miner or the entire litecoin network hash power), blocks will be 10 minutes apart.
if you add more hash power, you will only get a few fast blocks and then it's back to 10 minutes
if you remove hash power, you will only get a few slow blocks and then it's back to 10 minutes

so just keep doing what u're doing. as long as we're not getting stuck for days, we're fine
cheers

Then you need standalone miner and proper settings in conf file.

Seems like a lot of malicious nodes. I see an ip blocked warning from Malwarebytes every few minutes. Never happened with any of the other wallets. Make sure you have a good firewall (e.g. Avast), some anti-malware software (e.g. MalwareByte) and antilogger (e.g. Zemana)

Just an observation and a public service announcement

OK.. So I´m solo mining with 1 cpu thread at 10 Kh/s using CPUMiner, is that enough?
