I put my laptop in sleep mode before I came to work today, so my wallet isn't minting. That's probably the reason why no more blocks are being generated. Surely I jest!

Hi Fred,
2.0.1.5 or 2.0.16 both seem to be using about 50% if you are running on a dual processor with zeitcoins. If your wallet is empty , then they only use ~25% on a dual processor.
........
Zeit Tip, the more blocks the more secure the zeit network less blocks mean less CPU usage
In future version we could to switch to any SHA or keccak algorithm for the block generation. There is no need to use Scrypt anymore. If that's the better choice for the CPU load is another question - but it could safe us lots of memory. Edit: BTER.com is fully back with new interface and 0% trading fee. Don't forget to give ZEIT your vote. (Place 5/256)

Zeit Exchange News Traders on Cryptsy manipulating the price lower as usual. (Its what they do.) Comkort currently holding ~200 verses ~170 on cryptsy. Lowest price to buy Zeitcoins is on Cryptsy, highest price to sell Zeitcoins is on Comkort. South Xchange & Yobit still operational.

IMO In it sucks to be a POW Coin News Litecoin marketcap is only ~20 million from where it was in Nov 1,2013 . It has ~ 6 months before it rewards halves from 50 to 25. Which means at best it will be half as profitable, what will be interesting is what happens if it falls below a 50 million marketcap before that time, odds are it will and then it will plummet. When that plummet hits litecoin, its value will drop below $1 . That is when Zeit's Price will begin to skyrocket, and everyone that has been selling zeitcoins for worthless litecoins , are going to be in for a real awakening. LOL

Has anyone else experienced the new wallet using excessive CPU%? It didn't seem to happen when I first upgraded to it, but the past 2 days, it's been hogging 50% to 60%... I've restarted the wallet and the PC and it still ends up about the same. I like to keep the wallet open all the time but it's slowing the whole PC down.
Fred
Hi Fred, 2.0.1.5 or 2.0.16 both seem to be using about 50% if you are running on a dual processor with zeitcoins. If your wallet is empty , then they only use ~25% on a dual processor. On a Quad processor with coins in the zeit wallet it stays under ~20%. If you are running a dual processor and you need the cpu speed during the day, then you just leave the wallet off until you are ready to let it stake. You could let it stake overnight when not using it. FYI: One thing you can try is to use coin control and decrease the amount of blocks by combining the amounts into fewer blocks. Coin Control How To: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487814.msg10296134#msg10296134Zeit Tip, the more blocks the more secure the zeit network less blocks mean less CPU usage OK, so I used coin control and consolidated all my smaller blocks, into a few large blocks. CPU% dropped about half. I had consolidated once before, but it'd been a while so I had a ton of small blocks between a few hundred and a few thousand. Thanks, Fred

I hope so too, but where do you base it on

I'd like to see a little less speculation and more consolidation. As Ray has suggested, let's make use of our coinpayments.net listing to buy and sell in Zeitcoins; look at casheer.net to see if we can get listed for mobile payments https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487814.12480Specifically, how could we encourage use? I'm talking about use within communities like the Bristol £ http://bristolpound.org/Zeitcoin could be used to 'tip' artists and musicians on the Internet. Maybe we need to reach out to encourage them to accept Zeitcoins. From those little acorns, payment systems for services could grow.

For coins like ours that are not listed there is this message - "Please say." My vote was recorded a few hours ago @ #5. Amused to see so many votes for paycoin - do they intend it to be a 'morality tale' for the new era? (If you're a bad boy, the paycoin scammers will get you!)

Voted! I also had requested Zeit be added to his first addition a year ago https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483187.120 on the last day he was polling for his first list of 50. We were only two weeks old at the time, and no one else came into the thread to voice for us, so unfortunately we did not get added then. Still, it is awesome that we did this time! Good find, Joe!

Zeit Games Research Ok, someday would like to see zeitcoins be used to pay for online games. Kind of like the old days where we put quarters into a video game to play. Zeit (time) coins used to buy more time in a game. What I need from you zeit gamers is information. What kind of online games do you like and are their any you would be willing to pay to play? Please feel free to mention anything game related, especially if you are currently paying to play any online role play games. Thanks for your help with this research.

Zeit Wallet Install Instructions for New UsersLatest Version 2.0.1.6 Gauntlet Download New Wallets from http://www.zeit-coin.net You need Winrar to unzip the wallet, download winrar at http://rarlabs.com/download.htmFrom Here you have 2 Choices, Option 1: Just start the new zeitcoin-qt.exe and let it sync from scratch , (take 3 days), if it pauses during the sync, you can just leave it , or restart it and it will jump over the slow spots. Option 2: Fast Way (15 minutes) if you don't want to wait for the Blockchain to sync from the beginning. Go to Any of the Following Links to get a copy of the Zeitcoin Blockchain from March 5th, 2015. https://mega.co.nz/#!vd5khZYa!3etuRhzAkF3YrzETr6NrBhfjb_ytPruFDOaIvQ7yStAhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/3a3l0akth7dpoeg/ZeitCoin-Blockchain.zip?dl=0Make sure Zeitcoin is closed Then Unpack and copy & replace the files from Zeitcoin-Blockchain into C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Zeitcoin Then open Zeitcoin and it will start syncing the BlockChain from the March 5th, 2015 instead of the start. FYI: Current Users on ver 2.0.1.5 , All you need to do is download the new software 2.0.1.6 and replace the old one with it. Open ver 2.0.1.6 zeitcoin-qt.exe and you are all set.Zeit Wallet Upgrade Instructions for Anyone on an older version before 2.0.1.5https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=487814.msg9909181#msg9909181
