Sir, yes sir!  Cheesy

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Quick questions for you smart people. I just loaded up the new wallet and everything looks pretty good. I extracted it to a different folder than the original wallet was extracted to though. Is that going to cause any issues? It showed the correct balance right away, so I know it is reading my wallet.dat which is located in the same folder as the original wallet. Or should I have extracted it to the same folder and let it overwrite anything that needed to be overwritten? Also, when I click on the "minting" button, both "mint lock" and "mint unlock" are grayed out. Normal?

Wallet data folder is the same.
There is no "minting" Button. Only a mintication. If mint lock and mint unlock is greyed out, perhaps your wallet is not encrypted and you will never see the green leaf ;-)
Those new features are only for encrypted wallets!!!

No, it was said that a ball-park figure for the 'ideal' block-size was around 5 mill, based on the info in the Hobonickel wiki on minting/coin control.

Ah! Yeah, that's what I meant. And no, I hadn't encrypted the wallet yet when I wrote that last post. Thanks Ray!

backup your wallet.dat guys I just lost 16 million in this update
You are on linux?
We have changed the filenames to lowercase...
:-)
That was your problem. You've lost nothing... But a backup is always a good idea.

Quote
Note that the name changes from "Zeitcoin" to "zeitcoin" on certain OSes will create a new directory for the chain and your wallet. You should copy your wallet and try to copy the blockchain (blk*.dat and the database directory) to the new directory. If the database is not being accepted just remove everything except your wallet. Wink

having the same problem. Now I can't seem to find a lower case .zeitcoin folder anywhere. Usually the folder should be created as a hidden folder in my home directory. But there's only the upper case .Zeitcoin folder.

EDIT: Never mind. It finally showed up. I don't know why that took so long.

I am sure OSX 10.7 Lion and above is ok for most of the mac users.
Time for an os update, acorn ;-)

There is no support from our side for an outdated OS like Snow Leopard.
But feel free to contact pcmerc. Maybe he can help you.

There is no Apple update support anymore for your system.  Cry

Apple on Tuesday made it clear that it will no longer patch OS X 10.6, aka Snow Leopard, when it again declined to offer a security update for the four-and-a-half-year-old operating system.
