This 1st launch phase of our coin is really an accounting job to get claims and IPO money sent out, so people got what they paid for.
In that respect: everything seems to be working as expected. DNS seeds, seed nodes are all handling volumes and workloads. IPTables , security all setup on those VPSes. As you guys can see the wallet launches has been pretty smooth, and you can connect right away without need to mess with conf files. In total: it has cost me about $200 for the 5 VPSes to host the seed stuff + domain name .. (but don't worry about it, because those are 1 year contracts... and i can reuse for other projects, so it's pretty cheap
)
We are soon to enter the
second launch phase: Mining. 5 pools have been established already, so that's looking good, and the protocol has been well tested through these pools with the 1 reward blocks. We are just waiting on block 3600, which should be in about 2 days. The second phase brings more stakeholders on board, in the sense that miner who receive coins, now are part of the community, since they also hold coins.. thus growing the community and interest around the coin.
Also along with this we need to get on exchanges (maybe called third launch phase). I'm negotiating with a few exchanges now... some of them however require additional funds themselves for hosting on their exchange (i guess like a kickback). As i did not premine any additional amounts, any funds to get this onto an exchange will have to come from my own BTCs.. (one of them is charging 0.2 BTC)... as such I'm going to wait awhile to see how thing shake out.. it maybe we can get on an exchange for free.. but either way, we'll get on one, even if have to pay out of my pocket
After these launches are done, my main focus will be to work on a development roadmap for the coin, and add new capabilities as we go. It would be good to have someone else handle the marketing and promotion of this coin at that point, as I could use some focus time..
