Yes is one of most used wallet even if I prefer NOKU wallet because it recognise automatically tokens while in MEW you have to add manually.

Well no wallet is really secure if the owner is careless so it would still boil down on how you take care if your keys and security phrases. If you really want an almost fool proof wallet then buy a hardwallet.
