Yes it is. The only challenge with MEW is the fact that it has a complex interface which could look a little bit confusing to newbies and also the fact that MEW has been associated with a lot of phishing scams recently and in the past. Aside these, I see no reason why one shouldn't consider using MEW. To be safe, bookmark the correct url and always access the site from the bookmarked link alone. Avoiding putting your private keys wherever you access. You should be fine...

yes, it is very safe for you to use because I also use myetherwallet ERC20 to store tokens that I have, but when you open the myetherwallet site you have to be more careful because there are also fake ones that cause your assets to be stolen by irresponsible people.

I also feel like that if the way to access the wallet correctly and carefully seems like something bad won't happen. some problems I think errors from users who are not careful when accessing the website
