In my very own experienced there is no good outcome when you HODL too much.
First of all do you know what HODL means?
HODL is used when referring to hold the cryptocurrency rather than selling it.
Holding cryptocurrency is no good because it means you don’t have a knowledge about trading, for me, you can do scalping trading and increase your holding by it and gain profit.
I suggest that all in the Crypto community must learn the basic trading fundamentals. There are free tutorials anywhere. Don’t be lazy, think big.

You’re right,a lot of people are only doing HODL and it pisses me out a lot. I don’t know why people wouldn’t engage in other activities, they just want to hold and once price is up they will all run away. Well, I wouldn’t blame them. Because we are all here with the same reason of making profit out of our investment, maybe everyone should just focus on their own, whatever they are doing.

you must not hate the hodlers because they are only the ones that brings value to the cryptos .   cant you imagine if there are no hodlers , do you think every crypto will reach their ath ?  no right .  instead , the cryptos can definetly go down if all of us will actively sell our coins . so lets just thank the hodlers because they are the real heroes here not the sellers or traders .

Not all have the sams tactic. Some trade some coins while hodl others.

I am surprized to read this.
It works if you just hold a little coin.
But for me my self, someone will never feel the same if they never buy much coin in good price then sell it in worst price ever.
If we force ourselves to do it, i m pretty sure we will never get the same benefitas before. It just hearted.

I think that this is the best choice because if you sell it at a very cheap price it will make you lose a lot very much so you should not rush to sell your assets.

I agree with you that you should never hold too much cryptocurrency. Whenever you see some good profit, you should sell it and then wait for the price to go down.

   Hold is advisable depends on market situation. Holding coins is good if the market is down but if the market is normal and keep increasing much better to hold it in a short time to make more profit.

but if conditions like this the right way is only to hold back if you get big profits. because the market is always decreasing again than rising

after you buy any coins, you cannot sell the coins directly and you should wait for a while until the price can increase to the higher price and it means, you need to hold for a moment. without hold for a while, you cannot make any profit and you will be going to lose your money and we need to think about this. I prefer to hold for some time than to sell it because I have a chance to make a bigger profit in someday. I know that hold needs time before the price can increase but it is worth to hold the coins.

Hold is not advisable only when you are holding endlessly. You need to know when to hold your tokens and when yo dispose your tokens as well.

Hodl is like limiting or holding the supply of the coin or token to upper its value as I know it is. It is another way or chance though for a coin and token to upper its value. As we learn that the lower the supply and the higher of demand cause increasing of price of a particular matter. Same as this type of business we Hodl to upper the price. Hodl is maybe advisable to do but not that actually is. This is only my opinion and capacity of mind though in terms of Hodling. No hate.

there are also some that you must understand. Crypto currency is not only a coin trade. there is a group of others who think bitcoin and other crypto currencies are digital assets. so they buy crypto currencies to be owned not for trading. most people here are wanting to make a profit. but I read a number of threads that predecessors considered bitcoin not as trading, but in actual functions. so the more they understand crypto currencies. I believe, they will not trade. but always want to collect.

Let me see if I can answer your question. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies had been rising since September 2016 with a couple minor, short-lived corrections. Any way you slice it, It was easy money. You could buy at any price and then just sit on your hands patiently waiting till the price had risen enough to let you book handsome profits. That lasted for over a year, so don't get surprised there were a lot of people involved in that activity of doing nothing. It pisses off not only you but also many other people across the forum as holdlers were profiting off the people who actually had been adding value to Bitcoin, at their expense. But now many of those holdlers seem to have fallen a victim to their own stratagem having been left holding the bag. Actually, plenty of bags.

Long term hodling is really advisable! How about those people who bought a bitcoin on early 2009,and if they are still keeping it 'til today,do you know how much profits they will earn if they will sell it all right now? Hodl will be profitable if you start it in the end of bearish market,  but you will loss if you start it in bull market,  so to make profit from hodl we have to know situation of the crypto market. I think the only cryptocurrency worth HODL is Bitcoin, and other altcoins are more suitable for short-term trading, because the altcoin is very easy to collapse!

In my experiences in this crypto world where ups and down were always present..
"HODL is not ADVISABLE" will become a case-to-case basis.
Example: If the project is very good at first then suddenly getting worst, DON'T HODL IT.. just be sure you are updated on that project.
               If the project is getting and better and have a long time plan together with its tangible project promotion., better to HOLD IT..

I am still working on the side of reading graph.. but its so hard for me, only relying on the DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS rather than the TECHNICAL ANALYSIS!!!!

One suggestion from a friend of mine is you find a pumping group who can readily announced the exact day and termed it will happened.. sadly to say i don't have that..

Since this crypto world of our generation is a decentralized one.. whether you are an expert in trading only a PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS can be done... no one can control the market unless one person HODL / HOLDING plenty of specific token (those are whales). meaning even those who HODL much is likely waiting for the right opportunity along the way before selling, but for those who HODL much less are HOLDING it also and others are selling it promptly just to get back the capital they spent..

that's only is based on my experiences.. but i am willing to look after your thought about it, also for me learn new things in this area.. thank you!!
