all possibilities can occur, including ICO bans. it is not impossible that the Chinese state will ban bitcoin if something happens in that country. but until now the possibility was very small. China is one of the biggest countries for the distribution of bitcoin, therefore it is very unlikely
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

China prohibits ICO, Bitcoin exploitation and exchange is still legal. They can not manage all that. The Chinese market is too large and fertile

the ban will only manipulate prices on bitcoin.
I think we already know that China is often forbidding crypto users for its inhabitants, but that is partly just fake news.

The Chinese government is going ot ban anything that they get caught off guard by.  Then once they have the situation in their grasps they will legalize it.  The Chinese government is about as sleazy as the USA government.

Hello everybody!

Even though China has banned ICO’s, Chinese residents continue to participate and register money where it is actually legal. So do you think the “ban” is forever or are they going to drop the bans initially?

This particular topic has been discussed several times on the Discussion board in this forum. Someone once said something about the ban being lifted very soon,  but he didn’t mention when it’s going to be actually, and he also said that they are going to set new rules and regulations that governs cryptocurrency.

We are not yet sure about all that, so let’s keep cool and see what happens if they are going to lift their ban or not, but whether they do that or not,  people will still find a way to invest in it.

I think all countries have their own policies about cryptocurrency, especially ICO. there are some ico who are scams in it and it makes a lot of people afraid and also gets a big loss. that way there will be more and more people who are afraid to follow an ico. I think it all depends on how we can choose the ico well.

In fact, the Chinese government has long banned it. Since the end of last year, the Chinese government has banned all Ico projects in China, but many investors continue to invest in the ico project through third parties.

as far as I know, only major investors continue to invest, but minor wouldn't even consider any kind of investment. That's why we see a rapid decrease in the amount of investment. Before that, projects could reach their soft or even hardcap vie crowdsale, without any funds or pools, but now it's impossible for 99% of the projects.

China is a very smart and calm businessman. The Chinese government does not allow riots and riots in its own country. Necessarily there will be tools for regulating the crypto industry. And when the Chinese communist government takes full control of the crypto, then everyone will be allowed to ICO and others.

The ICO ban is not a statement on either blockchain or innovation. Given the authorities' recognition that they need to continue to modernize the financial system, and the desire to become an increasingly important player in global markets, it is unlikely that the ban will last for long.

I think China will not lift the ban because ICO scam are very rampant in ICO sale. Majority of ICO are scam while many of them failed to deliver their promise on their project. For them it is very alarming and they should protect their people from scam.

They might, why not. This way of crowdfunding don't fit their political and economic views. They can ban ICO but can't but bitcoin, haha

China has put a ban on crypto for 1,2,3,4,5,100,300,1000 times already and the market is still thriving. They could ban crypto trading, but can they ban the blockchain technology that they too have to embrace at some point? NO!

Not long ago, the Central Bank of China also issued a ban on ICO virtual currency operations. This move has made the global virtual currency market decline without braking. Investing in electronic money has become more difficult than before. Vietnam is also seriously affected.

Yes, I think that the ban will not last a long time. China's population enthusiasm for the crypto world is huge, so, I think that the Chinese government will make a good decision to realize the public demand.

I think even if china ban ICO's in their country, people will still find means to invest in an ICO, since last year china has been going so hard on crypto currency and yet their people still rank top in the use and trading of crypto currency, so they will still find way around it

China is a communist country ruled by the Party. Communism is about control in all the spheres of human activity. So if they could not ban it so that no Chinese citizen could invest in an ICO, the had to at least make it look like it was banned.

Prohibition may be only temporary. As far as I know, China is very keen on the blockchain. Perhaps it is forbidden only to better protect their people. But still can participate.

I think that the Chinese authorities will soon lift the ban and the crypto market will go up again. China is a very progressive and strong country and even if the prohibition will be that the investors will beat her by various methods.
