Perhaps dumb question,

How can I convert my EMC coins to cash (USD for example). Any help would be great.

firstly sell them on any exchange listed on OP for BTC
than transfer and sell BTC for USD on the exchange which has the option to withdraw money to the bank accounts or cards, eg CEX.IO or Kraken

I'm missing the Friday Update, so I'll give you some Saturday highlights:

We have been working on the next wallet update Einsteinium-Core 0.14.2 "Dreamliner" - and have entered beta test phase.

While not containing any consensus changes (soft forks), it is another major release with significant performance improvements. Curious what has changed? Here's a sneak-in to the not-yet-published Release-Notes:

It is not frozen on Bittrex. I just bought some and withdrew them right now. I don't know what do you mean with emc2 frozen on Bittrex.

Trex froze it about 6 weeks ago and updated wallet and has been fine for couple weeks now. Poloniex is frozen for Satoshi knows why.

Is GPU mining on Einsteinium worthwhile? I have 6 RX 580's and everywhere I have read, it seems Scrypt mining with a GPU is dead, leave it to the Asics, but everyone tends to be referring to LiteCoin.
Sorry if this seems like a mundane comment, I just want to know from others with experience before wasting my time...

It wouldn't be worth your while or your electricity. What have you mined so far?
If I had 6 of those gpu's I sure wouldn't be trying to mine scrypt.
Go buy asic miners or rent for that, and use that hash for other algo's.

Do not GPU mine EMC2, it's not worth the effort since June 2014.

For GPU miners, you are better off mining ETH/ETC and buying EMC2 ... or renting Scrypt asics hash power.

I had an epiphany this weekend and very soon, once I think about it a bit more, will have an interesting "EMC2 project" I recon will inspire some people to think about technological solutions to a social issue that very few people (myself included) ever gave a moments notice.
Yet there are brave folks who dedicate their lives to it ... mostly because few others are willing to.

To be continued ...

Polo does this with major updates on coins. ETH had the same and countless others. Just a precaution for a few days until they are certain all is well.

kel-alt -
I have been seeing 'temp. disabled' for days it seems, but was not concerned, de-listing is more a concern than 't. disabled' or 'maintenance', but you know that, kinda new for me.
I have not done much trading. Got a small dollar amount at 121 sat about April 15. I sent a small donation to dev(s) 1EGfNXBD3wYVbyZT7qnYG54CBjdCDy9xbt (cannot find page of original) June 9 when it got to about 10 cents. Then sold off about a third along with some others when I tried not to 'panic sell' the crash, which by hindsight would have been the correct thing for buyback. Very happy with this move today which makes up for all other couple days losses, I think. I bought this coin because it is a good project and am glad I kept most. Go EMC2!

It's very nice to see EMC2 back on track. The Polo ice age has finally ended Smiley
The only regret: not to have bought all available coins when it was 1000 sat up to a few days ago...
