There is no difference, that is just the subdomain the pool owner picked for their pool. The modifications in the stratum code are mandatory for all pools, if you use regular stratum then the blocks get rejected.

I am not going to sell this anytime soon so waiting for the coin to naturally make its way onto an exchange is fine with me. I will continue to vote on mintpal until it is added.

Be careful about that, EMC is a valid symbol and it's not us I can't remember the name of the coin off the top of my head but do double check.

emc2.cryptopools.com still has over 900 bonus blocks left for the taking. Find a block and 50 EMC2 added to your account. Find 10 blocks and that's an extra 500 EMC2. Take advantage of the bonus blocks before they are gone. I am giving away 5000 EMC2 from my own wallet. -tb-

Loving this coin so far, it's not too hard to mine even with my poor hashrate, been mining since day 1 and got around 300 so far ( i know it's not much ) I love the wormhole event idea, think with all these coins, we need something fresh to appeal and stand out of all these cryptos, that are just made to pump and dump. Saving money atm for few GPU's and when i get that i'll keep mining this, good luck to devs on this one! "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent.
