Dev's would it be a good idea to update the thread title?

Lots of features to promote...

no premine, scrypt pow, kimoto gravity well, less than 300mil, wormhole event.

Just a thought as we're past the launch date now.

Great suggestion expect an update in the very near future.

i would do some mining here but the site is super slow. If you fix that i'm in.

edit: once actually on the site its not that bad.

I see what you're saying now, some of the website pages are taking longer to load then usual, while others are absolutely fine. We're looking into it. Thanks for the heads up.

I have done some tweaks to apache configuration and there should be some improvement in website speed now. It might happen again but it should be less often. I'll continue to monitor and tweak as neccessary.

Edit: We found another 2 blocks, another 300 EMCs in bonuses paid out.

Good to see that things are going forward. A project I always would have loved to see is an open source cnc. There is open source hardware and software. But that is not what I mean, I would like to see a project that does what reprap did to 3d printing.

On a side note we need more people in my pool. We have been finding blocks since day one (42 so far). We are a small pool, so long rounds, high rewards. US server, vardiff, pplns, 0.5% fee, 50 bonus to block finder(in other words, it operates at a -4.5% with this bonus). Also an advice, never leave a small pool after a long round, check the block history, usually after a long round a few short rounds are incoming  Wink

So come mine at:

Is this difficulty low enough to mine on  a laptop? or not worth it?

Not really worth it, you're better off checking out a few faucets.

Originally planned for 48 hours total of introductory bonuses @ +10% Reward and 50 EMC2 BF, but that's unsustainable at the rate we were getting.

We personally prefer lower bonuses but for longer timeframes.

We estimate for the long term we may go with 1-3% and 10-20 EMC2 respectively.

We have no plans to introduce a pool fee.

Currently we have bonuses set to +5% Block Rewards and 25 EMC2 Block Finders Bonus which still gives a total potential bonus of 75 EMC2 per block.

I fell through an Einstein–Rosen bridge earlier on. Ended up in the future and found EMC2 to be the global currency of the world. I had left my wallet on my computer so couldn't buy the latest 1.21 GigaHash/s GPU of that time. Just got back. Thought I would mention it...

Guys join http://emc2.mateloft.com .. PPLNS Pool with 0.5% fee and a 50 EMC Blockfinder Bonus :-)

Only just noticed this now... Fell through another one of those dang bridges and ended up back in the 1940's... Managed to find and speak with Mr Einstein himself (Or Old Al' as I now call him) ... I cannot divulge what we discussed but I can tell you he does approve of this coin! My thanks to you!

Any plans of this coin in being a bigger exchanges??

EMC2 is unique and the wormhole event is one of a kind and should be used to promote the coin.
I'll probably have this in my signature and promote it..

Yeah, I was wondering about this the other day. How do coins get listed on an exchange like BTC-e? Not that EMC2 is going to be on there any time soon (if ever), but still how do the bigger exchanged decide?

Yes, we are currently working on Crypto Rush, Mintpal, and Cryptsy. Look out for the LazyCoin exchange launch, beta of that site alone was superior to nearly every exchange i've ever used. Now to see if they can hold up during peak volume Smiley

Keep in mind everyone, no premine is awesome. It does however, require more work on the Dev team and the community to spread the word though; so growing organically is the logical choice for a coin with no intention of pump and dump. We refuse to flat out buy our way on an exchange, I personally have added to funds for voting but that desire is separate from EMC2. We will get there, it hasn't been a week and maturing naturally versus many currencies that buy in to speed up takes more time and effort. Community building, spreading the word, generating idea's for improvement are top priorities. The rest will come with time.

Multiple press/media sites have been contacted, if you have a blog and wish to contribute PM myself or anyone else on the dev team.

Point taken.. This is no pump and dump. This is something that has potential in the future.
But small exchanges kinda kills the coin before it even kicks off.

I am surprised to see a scam filled coin that launched today and listed in cryptorush right away and the dev has already started a new thread about his next coin launch..
The least we can do to promote this coin is keep this thread active..

What could I do to help? I can't program and don't have social media to promote tho...

Tell your friends, you don't have to be mining dogecoin to get people interested, Einsteinium is a great place to enter the crypto world as well. Mining always helps, in fact it would be fantastic if someone wrote a basic mining guide for Einsteinium, yes I am aware there are many guides out there for scrypt coins but, I need one for our subreddit and it would save me the time. Plus i'm sure I could send some EMC2 to whoever steps up for saving me a few minutes of sleep  Grin

Please vote for EMC2 on this thread BTC38 would be huge!
