Pool Workers: 24
Blocks Found: 5 (Last Hour)

Fee: 0%

VarDiff: Yes

Block Reward Bonus: +3%

We need more workers please, we're paying out +3% and 20 EMC2 extra per block.

Call me crazy but it seems that a tradebot is making prices look cheap, those are really small sell orders.

Did you quote the wrong post, FL123 ?

yeap, sorry wasn't trying to quote.  I bought the trade bot cheap orders, what a bargain   Grin

Guys we still need nominees for our first donation? Anyone know of any good kids science related charities that could use some extra cash?

I do not know of any charities but here are but a few interesting developments that may be worth noting:

(Perhaps finding a university researching some of these areas could be supported directly?)

http://phys.org/news/2013-10-nanotechnology-boost-next-generation-batteries.html

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2014-03-06/mit-s-liquid-metal-stores-solar-power-until-after-sundown.html

or

http://www.streetinsider.com/Corporate+News/FuelCell+(FCEL)+Receives+$2.8M+Continuation+of+U.S.+DoE+Award+for+DFC+Plant+Capabilities/9258425.html

I have no vested interests in any of the above, but I'm always reading up on this sort of stuff in my spare time.

The use of solar power to hydrolyze water sounds really interesting.  The waste from producing electricity would be water........

I have been thinking about this idea for years but calculations told me that geothermal  energy is the only way to get away with this like iceland.  But there is certain type of algae that can produce hydrogen and according to wikipedia if we use around 20% of space used to cultivate corn for these algae in the US  , we can displace around 50% of fossil fuel consumption.
The other issue is to transport the volatile hydrogen but there is an indian girl that patented a way to make it less volatile, transport it and then refine it at large facilities.
.

For me energy is at the ocean, if we can tap one marine current, use it to produce electricity then electrolysis for hydrogen, make it not volatile with the special process of indian girl, transport it in ships to refining facilities at ground etc.  Since the hydrogen volatility decreases with the special process we can even use the existent oleo duct technology. I Also think tapping geothermal energy in the ocean for electrolysis is viable.

not sure how this can help but just want to spread the knowledge....

Any ETA on when the forum will be launched?
Right now were focusing on the P2P pool. I believe we'll start on the forum shortly there after. Lots of new things are in the works and it going to be an exciting month.

Hey Everybody, They just made a Facebook page for this coin. https://www.facebook.com/einsteiniumfoundation

I am assuming this is the official Facebook page, (I will confirm this) but if it is the official FB page for this new amazing coin, it will definitly be one of the best ways to show your support, stay connected and spread the word about this awesome new currency and foundation.

I am actually quite proud to be one of the first 3 on here  Cheesy

If you guys like those changes, i can go through the rest of the website tmrw. I already see basic grammatical errors as well as spots that could flow better. Let me know

I like the changes so far. As great as the Einsteinium team did getting what they did ready for launch, there's always room for more polish.

First off great coin. Setting up a community purpose from the outset was a great idea, one I wish more coins would adopt. I am a big supporter of better funding for basic scientific research, so you basically hooked me with your foundation purpose. You tapped into a nerve, and I think that is a great start.
Secondly, I rather coins go to charity then buy your way into cryptorush]. This is a GREAT coin, and to be honest, let's be patient. I would focus on getting in some of the better exchanges which have been more open to fair coins with KGW from the start...swisscex and poliniex stand out there. Also I think there is something to be said for organic growth then rushing it.

This has the potential to be a great community, let that lead the way. So get your forum and subreddit up and running.
Let exchanges pick you up as the community grows instead of buying your way on exchanges. Crap coins buy their way on, a great community though will builds its way on.

So while i was thinking of what to respond to the expresscoin guy, I was reading the website. It doesn't read too well, imo. Can we change the following:

"The principle task of the Foundation will be organise the selection and distribution of the Einsteinium Fund that is collected each month from the community mining the Coin and direct donations the Fund."

to

"The principle tasks of the Einsteinium Foundation will be to 1) oversee the community's monthly selection of any project whose goals include securing a better tomorrow (for either specific communities or planet Earth as a whole) through the advancement of science and 2) to ensure that the funds collected through both mining and donations will be sent to their community-agreed-upon destination."

and

"Each month a small selection of projects the Foundation think are worthy of support will be collated together with suggestions from you the community. Voting will be held during the last few days of each month, the winner of the poll is selected and the funds passed over.
There will be no restrictions as to who is eligible for inclusion in the monthly selection for voting, the only criteria is that the science involved is pushing our understanding forward and could build us a better, safer future.

to

"Each month a small selection of projects the foundation thinks is worthy, in addition to those suggested by the community, will be made available for voting. Voting will be held during the last few days of each month. Once the poll is concluded the funds will be sent over. The only restriction as to which projects/organizations are eligible for inclusion within the monthly selection is that the proposed project aims to help build a better, safer future through strengthening our grasp of science."

and

"From simple Kickstarter project to the Gates Foundations effort against Malaria, if between the Einsteinium community and the Foundation we reach consensus that the project is worthy we will send the funds"

to

"From helping to fund simple Kickstarter projects to the fight against malaria as seen in The Gates Foundation, the Einsteinium Foundation as well as the Einsteinium community will reach a monthly consensus in regards to which new organization will receive funding."
Thanky ou so much for this !
