Right now old coins can be still profitable, but I don't think if they still profitable  in the near future since there's a lot of new coin's in the market that has unique technology, but of course these is depends on the project and team .

well I guess so, but not all old coins can't rise anymore, I know many new coins that enter the cmc from the top 200 to 100.
but that doesn't mean old coins don't have potential, maybe they need a little longer to develop them, though not all old coins will rise, because they will be replaced by new, better coins.

I think old coins can still be profitable but for now it’s not the time for old coins to help pumping. Because there must be a time for new coins to pump old coins.
I don’t think those are really matter. If both of them are equally profitable I think it's still good to hold.

There is competition in any market. From time to time, new projects are created with a promising idea, which are of interest to investors. Therefore, if the old coins cease to develop, they cease to be profitable and their price begins to decline.

I have come across so many different digital currencies that are no longer profitable for miners who are hunting opportunities. What would we think of coins that show up in the scene and never reach a real valuable exchange rate against Bitcoin or USD? It is known that those coins as any traded goods are subject to the law of offer/demand and the volume of the trades (market capital), the more the users and adopters of the coin the more it has value (increase in its value against USD or BTC).

There is a lot change going on in the coin market cap top 200 this days and I don't know if I'm the only one who's aware of it. Could you believe new (4months-7month ago) listed token/coin claimed much slot in the CMC top #200 list. Are those old project which belong to the spot claimed no more profitable?

Your opinion Smiley
Old coins are profitable in long hold. I am still holding Bitcoin and ETH beside holding other tokens and altcoins.

Why did you decide so? Of course, they will also remain quite profitable, I think, on the contrary, that it is the old projects that in most cases will still bring more benefits than something else new. So just be careful.

The old coins can be profitable too. One of the  examples RDD ReddCoin .This coin has been traded for a long time on 0.00000003btc now the price is 0.00000058 ! But on top RDD grew up to 0.00000200 !
Another example is a DGB coin a long time traded on 0.00000020btc.Now his price is 0.00000380 but the top DGB is up 0.00002800 ! Imagine how much these coins have grown. Now the market is bad but the time will come and it will change and most coins will give x10-x20

I don't think so, because I think that those old coins such as ethereum and bitcoin as still more profitable than newest token and coins due to the fact that they are already well-establish and well-organized coin than the newest coins.

Old coins are failed to long running most of the times i think. InvestFeed(IFT),OPUS,TargetCoin(TGT) and ATLANT(ATL) those coin are almost 1 year old but day by day price falling down. Maximum old coins not more profitable even it investment high risky. But in coinmarketcap top 200 coins are too old without some few coins.

Some of them actually but not overall because some of them are still profitable like bitcoin and ethereum and most non profitable coins are those who just started recently.

Today, I analyzed my tokens received as bounty rewards and came to the sad conclusion that in recent months almost everything tends to zero. It was necessary to sell it on the growth of the market, unfortunately, I did not.

my answer is no. Old coin like bitcoin, eth are still the best choice for investment because it is always profitable. I don't think old coin will lose its position in the future

I don't think so, because old coins elaborate their product as well as new projects, but sometimes new projects hype more just because they invest marketing budgets and old projects are concentrated more on product development. Also i noticed that some projects can be on demand after launching post-ICO bounty and they can hype as well.
I don't think that there is a big difference between new and old projects in terms of capitalisation

on the contrary, I would advise you to invest in new coins because they are more reliable and have long made it clear that they are reliable and can bring a lot of profit

it depend on the actions of team members of any project. some old coins sleeps and comes with a rebrand and then goes to moon. so the early holders who sold it cheap may regret . for example XVG was around $0.00001 once. then went up to $0.25+

Some coins that are placed in 200-300 range of the top coins may be not profitable in the following season, like postcoin

It depends on what you mean by profitable.  There are dead coins that still fluctuate in price that you can still trade and make a profit via trading.  I wouldn't buy and hold them though.  Any coin has potential as long as it is actively traded on an exchange.

Old coins still have a very high value. You can see now that the old coins still persist and are even growing. Should you have to be clever in determining the coins that will be purchased. In fact, I'm sure the old coins with low volume, on one day, will surely have a very high value.
