Old coins is something profitable to my mind. I mean top coins with working product.
But you can also participate in ICO and flip your profit after listing on exchange. There is more attention to new listed coins

Most coins are down so saying anything is not profitable right now is subjective to when you bought it.  If you are holding onto coins you bought last December then you probably not making money.  You can still make a ton in crypto if you are smart about what you buy and sell

While developers are improving the software, they can't force a change in the coins protocol because all users are free to choose what software and version they use.

Not because its old it doesnt have any value. Take note that these coins are one of the reason why we are here now. Not all old coins are not profitable maybe some are not working. What I mean is that not become effective maybe the reason is their platform. But there are old coins are still profitable like bitcoin.

       Some coins are comes from behind and suddenly it will pump then it will become profitable ,but it is not an assurance that this coins will grow nowadays  , and it  needs more researck  to pick the potential coin .

Older altcoins are not a guarantee that the coin is more profitable, as evidenced by many altcoins that are old and the energy has decreased since the first time the altcoin was listed on the exchanger.

Old coins are still profitable, though, some coins are putted to oblivion when it is not well utilized in the cryptocurrency market industry, there is always a chance that old coins can give you profit when it regain a good reputation as the other altcoins. In order to obtain this status, people should buy, use, and utilize these altcoins.

Many old coins are still profitable even more than this new coins, they are long term investment in my opinion although some are not profitable again.Its just that the new coins have new innovations and ideas, and they are so much now that people are leaving the old ones to invest in new ones. The market situation right now is not helping matters also.

I think that new coins will show us the better pump as the old coins. Because they had no bull run till now and the most pumped coins will be coins that have collected their hard cap and are pushing forward with their products development. But the old coins will also show great profit.

I think it will be based on the market situation. Some of the projects are quite amazing but the market has gone down at the wrong time, making the token's prices when listed on the trading floor is heavily depreciated. I think it depends on many factors. It's the financial management skills of the team and the luck.

It depends on the coins you were talking about. If its a coin at the lower ranking, I believe that it might be dying or staying at a low price. Those old coins that was at the top 50 were still productive. I think the bear market helped us realize that those coin who didn't focus on increasing the product demand will not stay for long. They will die soon so make sure you get over them before its too late.

Not at all. Coins like Paragon, Stellar and Power ledger are great for profitability. I have been using them and trust me they are too good. You will not regret buying them.

I agree...there is a good dose of luck of course, but you must always do your own researches...for example watch Elicoin in livecoinwatch , is not an ICO or bounty... it's a coin with low mc, low supply, PoW whit cpu, no premine, active dev...only trading it on CREX24 for now...do you own researches in the thread in bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3028302.0... people are too stupid for DYOR and got scammed by ICO or bounty...just my 2 cents...hope it helps...cheers

Sure old coins isn't profitable anymore, but there's still a good coin will give us big profit if we buy from now. This year is very-very bad for cryptocurrency and my expectation is still big to see the bull run in the end of this year.

You have make your point but I want you to know that this year is not a bad year for cryptocurrency market if you look at the opportunities which the dip market entails and youre wrong if you're expecting bull market at the end of this year.
