At the moment 16.4 million Helix coins are in circulation of the total maximum of 500 million.

In the beginning of the project, the first 90.200 blocks of the Helix blockchain were generated by POW (about 10.000.000 coins).
POW are the real miners that use heavy calculating power to generate the hashes.
As POW is done by just a few people, the generating of Helix coins (reward for the POW) was not evenly distributed across the Helix community.

As of block 90.200 and above, the blocks are only generated by POS.
Everyone with Helix coins can receive POS reward via the work the wallet does for the Helix network (securing the network).
The more coins you have, the higher you network weight is and the more rewards you receive (Helix coins).
Because a lot of people have the Helix wallet that does the good work for the Helix network, the Helix network is very secure.

When you look at this, you understand that a network pool, where for example 1000 people drop a few coins in, is not very good for the Helix network.
This because in this way there is only one active wallet servicing the Helix network instead of 1000 wallets.
But, for someone with just a few coins, this is a nice way to receive good stakes Smiley

@TheHelixProject
is happy to announce that $HLIX has applied and will soon be open for trading on
@StexExchangeR

STEX just confirmed in Twitter that HLIX /BTC pair is opened https://twitter.com/StexExchangeR/status/1084055388889190401

So, enjoy by HLIX trading: https://app.stex.com/en/basic-trade/pair/BTC/HLIX/1D

There is no a trade history yet, just a few orders placed. Probably it's just beginning and more traders will come later.
On the other hand, it is a good chance to buy HLIX cheaper or to sell it higher. Because a gap between ask/bid is still wider than on Crex24 for instance.
So, don't lose a chance to become an early birds on this exchange.

What should i place here? Any advice appreciated.

Hi, as i see Helix is a nice project, can i ask some questions about:
1. where can i read more about your decentralized e-commerce platform? I didn't find about it on your website.
2. do you have plans to make a wallet for Android?
Thanks.

i have only just found this project today, it sounds interesting. I like that they say you only need a few coins to get a staking reward and thanks to Crex24 I already have a few coins that have been donated in their faucet. I am downloading the HLIX wallet now and I will put it to the test.

1: We're still in the development phase of the platform. Once we make good progress on this, a litepaper will be released Smiley
2: For sure, mobile wallets are planned to be released in the future. This is not under development already though!

When you join the Helix Discord ( https://discord.gg/dVgcEka ) you will be welcomed by the warm Helix family.
You will find a clear overview of all links to their website, social media and so on.

The following channels are nice (here you can earn free Helix coins):

# helix-bot > Here you can enable a wallet for your own use. Just type "$deposit" and you will be provided with the address of your wallet.
# activity-bounty > Here you see an overview of the rewards that you can earn with being active on the Helix Discord channel. Being active means that you participate in conversations about the Helix project.  You receive the rewards (Helix coins) within your Helix Discord bot wallet.
# invite-bounties > If you can get people to join the Helix Discord by using your invite, you will be rewarded (in your Discord bot).
# giveaways > Here you will find several activities you can perform to earn some Helix. For example liking Facebook pages, Instagram or writing something worth reading in BitcoinTalk.

# wallet-releases > Here you will find the latest version of the Helix wallet for your OS:
Raspberry PI /ARM
Linux 32bit
Linux 64bit
iOS Pre-High Sierra
iOS High Sierra
Windows 32bit standalone
Windows 32bit installer
Windows 64bit standalone
Windows 64bit installer

Please note that the bot holding your coins in Discord is not always 100% reliable or available. Better not to keep to many coins within it. So move the Helix coins to you local wallet from time to time.
Also no staking within the bot. Your local wallet does stake, nice!

When you start using your Helix Wallet, always encrypt the wallet first, this will prevent someone from abusing your precious Helix coins.

You can encrypt you wallet via:
- Settings
- Encrypt wallet
- Enter the password (encryption key) twice
- You will see a warning that if you lose your encryption key you will lose access to you coins (KEEP YOUR encryption key SOMEWARE SAFE)!
- The wallet will shutdown itself.

You can now start you wallet again. The wallet will just start without asking for a encryption key, that sounds strange.
It is not that strange because if you want to make a withdraw, you have to enter the password.
Please be aware that for staking, you also must open you wallet:
- Settings
- Open wallet
- Enter the encryption key and check the checkbox: "For anonymization, automint, and staking only"

Now your wallet is safe and still open for staking your Helix coins, great!

Be sure you have a backup of your Helix wallet at all times!
If your PC or laptop crashes or gets stolen, you will not be able to recover your Helix coins.
That would be very nasty.

There is just 1 file that you need to be able to recover your Helix wallet and that is the wallet.dat file.
You can make a backup of this file from within the Helix wallet:
- File
- Backup Wallet...
- Select a location to store the file and give the file a name and press Save

IMPORTANT
Don't save the file on the harddisk of your PC or laptop! If your PC or laptop crashes, you will lose both your wallet and backup-file.
Make sure you place the file on another medium like an external Harddrive of USB-stick.

It is also possible to place the backup on for example Dropbox or One-Drive.
Please make sure that you don't just put the file there in plain site! A rouge administrator from Dropbox or One-Drive could just steel the file and steel your Helix coins (ok, only if you did not encrypt your wallet).
You can use 7-Zip (Freeware) to encrypt the backup-file of your Helix wallet.
Then nobody can just steel your precious Helix coins!

In above items you can read how to make a backup of your wallet.
But what to do if your PC crashes, how do you regain access to your coins?
Well, here we go.

After you get your computer up and running, download the latest Helix wallet from:
- https://www.helix-crypto.com/#downloads

Just install the wallet.
When the installation has finished and starts to synchronise the complete Helix block-chain, you can just close it again.
Then go to "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Helix" and remove everyting in this folder (files and folders).
Place the "wallet.dat" file from your backup in this folder and start the Helix wallet installation again and let it completely synchronise.
When the wallet has completed the synchronisation, your coins should appear in your wallat.
Also the complete history of transactions will appear.

Great, you can now continue to have enjoy your Helix coins!

Did you know that Helix Coin has several objectives they want to accomplish this year?
For all the objectives see the roadmap on the website https://www.helix-crypto.com/

One of the cool objectives is to get Helix Coin listed on CoinMarketCap.
This is a great site (https://coinmarketcap.com/) on which you can see the current value of many coins.
Also the Price (average price of the day of that Coin) and the Circulating Supply (the amount of coins of that specific coin that are existing at that moment in time).
The MarketCap of a coin is the product of the Price and the Circulating Supply.

One of the other objectives is that the Helix Project team is working on getting the Helix CoinMarketCap information in the Helix Wallet.
This makes the Helix wallet an easy one stop shop. No need to have a look on the CoinMarketCap website as all the information is available from within the Helix Wallet.
How cool is that!

To see the current status of the Helix blockchain, you can have a look at a coin explorer : http://coinexplorer.net/
On this explorer you can see things like the current:
- Wallet version (important to check that you remain on the right chain)
- Block. This is important because the block rewards sometimes change between for examle block 100.000 and 200.000
- Price
- Volume. This should be as high as possible.

Helix coin can now get a free listing on coinexplorer.net that is great news!
Please support Helix coin by just like and retweet: https://twitter.com/MyCoinExplorer/status/1090190724417622016

It is always wise to do some research before you buy Helix coins.
In case of the Helix coin, have a look at the website http://helix-crypto.com/
Here you find a lot of information about for example the Features of the coin, technical information about the coin, the Whitepaper and so on.

Also great to see that the core-team behind the Helix coin is mentioned. With every person you can see a link to their LinkedIn account or the Website of the firm they work for.
Via these links you can also check with other people to hear their experiencese with the core-team person.

When looking at the Helix Discord channel (https://discord.gg/dVgcEka) there are a lot of people that are in the support team.
You will find Crazy(Danny) who happens to the founder of the Helix coin.
But also people who support you if you have issues with Shared/Hosted MasterNodes.
Also the bots that live in the Helix Discord are displayed.

Discord is quite a nice place to hang around to enjoy Airdrops, Bounties, Chat with your Helix friends and many more!

Above we metioned that Helix coin wants to get listed on CoinMarketCap (https://coinmarketcap.com).
This is THE major site to be listed on as this site is known by most people.

To get listed on CoinMarketCap, Helix coin must fullfill some requirements, these can be found here: https://coinmarketcap.com/methodology/#listings-criteria
One of the requirements is that Helix coin must be listed on at least 2 Exchanges that are supported by CoinMarketCap.
Luckily Helix coins is already listed on below two exchanges that are also supported by CoinmarketCap, how great is that!
- https://app.stex.com/en/trade/pair/BTC/HLIX/

The exchanges must be "readable" by CoinmarketCap so CoinmarketCap can extract information from these exchanges.
Information like:
- Coin value
- Trading volume of a coin

To extract the information, an API is used.
An API is a piece of software that takes care of extraction of information discribed above.
