I don't think this coin will do well.
The developers are just too incompetent.
I bet when a fork happens, they'll have no idea what's going on.

Oh look, you again.

Friendly reminder to hit the ignore button guys
Friendly reminder that everyone posting positive comments in this thread are people who've worked on this coin or are friends of the developers.
Also everyone to offer any type of criticism will be demeaned. Very sad indeed.

You Sir, are wrong, I have no clue who the devs and operators of this coin is yet, I am giving it my support because it seems interesting.

Really good job on the countdown page. It almost actually works!
Props to the designer as well. It really brings me back to the old Yahoo days.
Oh, and how you managed to keep the CSS file under 10 KiB with only about 2000 lines(mostly redundant) and importing a mere 5 bloated libraries is absolutely astonishing. http://cryptocredits.org/css/style.css

That clock goes off your local PC time so timezones will not work...Unless you're on EST it's pointless.

put the wallet in password zip for download before launch.

looks like some effort went into design.

Yeah I thought about this possibility, still giving it some time to ferment. Probably just gonna release it all at once and let everyone explore the world immediately.

That seriously is not a good answer. There is no reason not to put it all in a password rar and give password at launch.

By not doing so you are opening the coin to a lot of issues

1. 5 min instamine by dev and friends - people have to download, unpack, upload to virus total and await the scan, config file, sync .....this is not good.  Launch should be zipped with password rar and already a virus total output.

2.  The biggest issue is the ddos or just saturation of the download link. Yes i have seen even mega.co.nz brought to a crawl with these launches, and NEVER use mediafire that place is a cock up waiting to happen.  Don't dream of using your personal hosting unless you have 1gb link at the very least.

The links should be always given so people can hold the file locally to solve these issues. There is NO reason not to do it. I question any dev who does not wish to. What is a reasonable explanation for not doing it exactly?

With KGW our difficulty should start changing within 40 seconds. First come first serve is the fairest in my opinion. Big deal, you'll lose a couple minutes of mining over some other guy, potentially. Freshen up on the "FAIR" section, a miner starting even 2 weeks from now won't be at a terribly large disadvantage.

Thank you, see you soon.

ok

Oh, it works on your machine? No need for debugging then, because you're clueless Credits developers!

Exactly the arrogance and careless attitude already spells to me trouble ahead.

Would you like me to argue with you instead? That's not happening, this is the last reply you get.

Not at all, considering I don't know the dev in anyway whatsoever.

Also regarding the instamine accusations, the block reward scheme setup would make no sense if an instamine was the goal.

Let's break it down then.
1. Clueless and incompetent developers. Yes, multiple, collectively awful people who are working on this coin.
2. Rude and arrogant public relations.
3. No encrypted wallets at launch. Likely insta-mine at launch á la MoonCoin. They're even lying that KGW prevents this, which it doesn't.
4. Broken website and countdown. Both look like they're designed by a 14-year-old script kiddie.
5. No great hopes for the future; the developers do not know what they are doing.
6. 4 pools at launch owned by the developers, claiming to prevent 51% attacks, but it's actually a 100% attack from the inside.
7. “Estimated starting value: 1500-2000 Satoshis” not realizing that this would require double the market cap of DOGE. Practically impossible for a coin this bad.

Anyone want to add to the list?

100% from the inside? Please, just stop.

Estimated starting value? That's based on calculations from a variety of other starting coins. You're making calculations assuming the full 20 billion will be in circulation at once. Do the math, and leave.

You're just in denial at this point.
Good luck with the coin nonetheless.
It's a shame, really. I'd been waiting for a coin to use the currency(¤) symbol. I just didn't expect it to be this bad.
