I'm not impress with his pre-mine, I have no problem with it, but witht he way he did it.

Should have put block one at the full pre-mine value instead of launching a coin at a high difficulty because he mined it for 750 blocks.

Can't you see it is KGW?

Its not his fault, and KGW can't do miracles when tons of hashrate thrown to this coin! Our pool alone is 350 MHS !

Yeah the diff is fine, i don't care if it rockets to 100 diff in 1 min. However, the important thing here is this.

700 blocks gone before the first windows people synced up....

were those for the premine or did someone get compiled and have a couple of mins going solo on the chain. I can't think they could get 700 blocks in that time.... although it is possible on crazy low diff.

I guess we await the devs explanation here.

However we would not be discussing all of this again if they released the source and qt at the same time.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

LOL at 740 blocks premined Cheesy

said .75% premine, how much is that many blocks

750 blocks is actually 0.075% premine... seems like they only premined 1/10th of what they said they would?!

no, because blocks can be any size.

most devs just make the first block huge and that is the premine right there.

Sigh.

you nee to use config files and set up several failovers. then it detects whichever pool is up first.

If 700+ blocks weren't the premine but were the confines of one or two miners who started early after getting the source - i.e. before the majority of people could get on board (I synced within seconds of the password being announced and 700 blocks already gone), this is asking for an absolutely enormous dump at some point. The coin is essentially valueless if a couple of people have 700 blocks of coins from the off.

cool just solo mined a block... that's enough for me.... just wanted a few for the collection.

these blocks are VERY slow...  these will be hard to solo ...price should hold up a bit though.
